Monday morning...

feel so cold!

It is cold outside, but it is also cold in my office! I am talking REALLY cold. Got my coat on,thinking about adding the fluffy hat too!

Anyway, the snow is going now - at the worst we had around 10 inches on out garden table, but the fall that was expected on Saturday night/Sunday morning failed to arrive and it all started to melt.

The weekend was good, although tiring, involving a lot of walking to and fro - feeding my mom's pony, Humphrey, walking the dogs (who loved every minute of it), popping to the shops, building a giant snowman, etc. I forgot to bring in my camera so photos will have to wait today, sorry.

Changing the subject, I loved the reactions to my announcement that we have a new laptop with a good internet connection! No slacking off on holidays! Thanks guys! Really made me feel wanted!

Right, better get moving before my toes go black and fall off!

Bye for now!

Stay warm my man. My part of the planet is very cold yet dry. It has been decades since we have had a cold spell like this.

Wreggie - We watch Fox News a lot and have been seeing reports about the cold weather all over the place! Keep warm too!

Kenady - Sorry you didn't get the snow! No, we haven't got a new puppy yet...

I hate when it's so cold you need to wear your coat inside the office. We've had a few of those days, but building management has seemed to catch on that it's winter out there and have been keeping the heat up lately.

I'm curious. When you have snow, do you still ride your bike in to work?

Terri - I cycle if the main roads aren't covered in ice (as they were on Thursday and Friday). I am mad, not suicidal :-)

Humphrey...love that name! :)

Teresa - Yes, my mom has a strange approach to naming animals - no cats called Fluff or dogs called Fido. When she lived in Scotland she had a goat called Clive and she currently feeds a wild fox that she calls Malcolm. I wonder what she would have called me if I was born now - Mr Snuffles or something like that, probably!

I hate it when you feel colder in the office than outside. Not sure if you should wear a coat or long johns to work. Sounds like the weekend was fun, tho.
