Monday morning...

Blerg!

That is all I can say!

I feel exhausted for no particular reason.

The weather is grey, windy and damp, but not damp enough to do the garden much good.

Even getting back an amazing mark for an assignment didn't lift me out of it.

I think it is this Swine Flu that is bugging me. Am I the only one who thinks that this could be really nasty? Views seem to switch backwards and forwards on the news - this will be the nastiest thing since 1919 - this is just another type of flu and we have drugs to fight it - actually the drugs aren't going to save any lives, but if you do catch it they will make you feel a big better...

I think that my problem is that I just read a great book called "World War Z", about a Zombie plague that spread in a way just like this amid the same statements from the powers that be...

We will see. I hope the "we will be OK" gang are right!

Sometimes you can be in grey mood in spite of the weather/situation.

Not sure what to make of the swine flu stories. Sometimes I think that the media creates these frenzied panics just to peddle the stories. Expect more review and pontificating from various "experts".

That's the problem, isn't it? The media wants big stories. They don't make money on days when the big story is that nothing is happening and there is nothing to worry about!

I LOVED World War Z! That was one freaking awesome (though scary) book :)

I heard that there were 80 some deaths in Mexico, but in those cases, people didn't seek treatment soon enough. They are saying that here in the U.S. we have a heightened awareness, but it's not a panic. It can be really bad, but if treatment is sought soon enough, it's fully treatable.

I'm sorry you were feeling exhausted and already read your next post, so I'm glad to see your spirits lifted.

Ali - A great book - Mrs RC loved it too, and now No 1 Son is reading it.

Terri - Yes, I guess we do have that advantage, I guess. At least the authorities do now seem to be more with it, I think I was finding the complacency un-nerving.

Maybe the weather is dragging you down ?

I'm worried about the Swine flu as well....they are saying that 98 people in Oz have it now....all you would need is just 1 of them to hit a school...!

Holy Smoke !
