OK, had cake for lunch, tanked up on the caffeine and now feeling much more up-beat!
Took a couple of pictures of my Normans and Saxons...
Well, I will show them if Blogger lets me...
This is Harold, looking a bit like Hulk Hogan...
These are Huscarls, the reall tough-guys of the Saxon army.
Less tough Saxon rabble...
Finally, the goose-stepping Norman knights coming to conquer our green and pleasant and grey and damp land!

LOL! That one DOES look like Hulk Hogan!! Ha!
So...do those soldiers actually get destroyed during a battle? Still trying to figure out this wargame thing you do. ;)
Teresa - No, I don't destroy the soldiers, they just get taken off the table. I will have to do a step by step post about a game, won't I?
Hi John,
very nice! I forgot what rules you were going to play, is that basing for FOG?
James - I am going for more than one set of rules - DBA, Armati, ABC (small battle Arcane Warfare) and D6 Ancients (a free download). I have reduced the number of figures per base by 1 for cavalry and heavy foot. If the armies grow big enough I will use them with FOG too.
You painted all of these? Holy cow! Nice job!
Thanks Jen!
Wait, you painted these things BY HAND? By hand?!?!

By hand!?!?!?!
Good grief Charlie Brown, you must have the patience of a saint!
Wow, these are REALLY impressive. Mark wants to know how long it takes to paint one. (Yes, I had to say to him, "Hey, look at this! Hey, now look at these! Wow, look at these!")
We are very interested in a step by step post.
Ali - Not by hand - I used a paint brush ;-)
Terri - Time is hard to work out. I tend to start doing a batch of 6 to 12 figures and do basics and then focus on them one at a time to finish them off. I guess all told around half an hour for a foot figure, an hour for one on a horse? But this will be spread out over several evenings. Hm, maybe I can recruit Mark into the dark arts of wargames?
LOL...It's the Hulk...
You have done a great job !
These are fantastic - the painting of the figures is really great!
You smarty pants...
They're adorable - you know, in a MANLY way!
