Do you know something?

A recent commenter told me:

"You are a good man. Don't change."

My initial reaction was one of "Gee, thanks!"

But it got me thinking - about me, what sort of person I am and whether I actually like myself. I never used to like myself, and I can't remember the last time I stopped to see if things had changed. Well I did stop and think. And things have changed over the years.

I like me.
I like BEING me.
I used to wish I was more like this, less like that, but you know what? If I was, I would be someone else and not me, and I don't want to be anyone else, thank you very much.
I like me just like this.

How about you?

Oh, you picked a very bad day to ask ME that. LOL I'm having a horrible day and doing way too much thinking and am exhausted and just need to rest. I'll spare you my answer. LOL!!

But...I do like you too. :)

Funny isn't it? We seem to develop an image of ourselves very early on and then we carry it around for years afterwards, never stopping to examine that image again. Unfortunately, that initial image is often made up of criticisms and shortcomings.

You know what? I like me too.

And I definitely like you too.

For the most part, I like me. I pretty much like all the weirdy things about me.

And you? You are awesome, just as you are.

I like me better today than yesterday, and the day before, and the day before. I like who I'm becoming. There is a lot that I'd like to develop more - to be more like Jesus. What's not to like about that? Try to think less about me and more about Him...

I sure am...of course I could loose a few kilos...but when I look in the mirror, I'm proud of what I see (inside)- not physical...

Teresa - Well when you have had a rest, maybe you can come up with a printable answer. Meanwhile, I like you!

miss minneapolis - Good to hear it!

Terri - That is so true. Glad you like yourself. And of course I like you too.

Ali - Hm, maybe we need to look at the things you don't like about yourself. You might well be the only person who doesn't like them. Awesome? I like Awesome. You are awesome too!

Jenelle - Well I can't see any major issues there! Trying to be a bit better each day is about as good as it gets, IMO!

Sitting in Silence - Hey, the outside ain't so bad either! :-)

I come and go. Sometimes I get sick of me and others times I'm my best friend.

Wreggie - Interesting. Do you think this is reflected by other people? When you are sick of yourself, do others seem to find you hard work too?

We evolve. I always look at myself and ask what can I do to be better. Don't find much! LOL

When you are happy with yopurself, you are happy with others.

It's a good thing to "like yourself" - I'm finally at a place in life where I also like who I am. Sure, i'd like to be a little more muscular - or in better shape - but overall, I'm pretty satisfied with myself :)

I don't like you you are a terrible person......just kidding.

Oscar - That is very true! It is good that you can't find much wrong with yourself!

Zig - Ah, a few situps in the morning will soon sort that!

James - You are out-voted by the girls anyway! :-)

Okay, I'm back to answer this on a much better day. Like Jenelle, I'm liking myself more and more every single day...then there are those set back days which we all have I would imagine but yes. I think I'm real & genuine and that is something I look for in people. :)

Sorry this is comming in so late, but I have been away from the Bolg-o-sphere for a couple of weeks.

I like me. I don't care if others don't. I realized a long time ago that I have to make my own happiness, and the root of that is to like who you are.

Yeah, I like you, too. I actually missed reading your blog more than all the others I follow. You make me smile... sometimes even laugh out loud making my co-worker give me a "I think she has actually gone over the deep end" look!!
