Rebel Yell!

Still in need of flags and unit name plates, here are some of my American Civil War soldiers:

Early "fire and movement" tactics!

Forming up for the battle.

Firing line with eager reserves being restrained by their officer.

Here comes the cavalry!

Nicely detailed!

My great great grand father Fabious Watson Hunnicutt fought on the Confederate side along with all of my ancestors. He was in the North Carolina Calvary. My mother still remembers one of her "grand pa's" who fought. He was 14 when he went in and lived to almost 100.

Make sure the yankees loose this battle.

I don't get into war history much, but the one that does intrigue me is the American Civil War. Really cool stuff you have there!

And I thought I was going to see a Billy Idol video when I opened up your blog today! :-)

agg79 - Thanks!

Wreggie - It is great to have links like that. And what a great name! Can I give him a brigade of cavalry when I get around to doing them? I have a lot of sympathy for the southern states, despite the slavery issue. They joined the Union with the belief that they could leave at any time...

Terri - The Civil War is very interesting. Just watching something like the movie "Glory" (too many great actors to name) and you will be hooked. You know me too well - I had to stop myself adding that video!

Thank you for posting the photos - I am always curious about your "war games" - these look fantastic. I loved the movie Glory - and cried so much at the end.We took our daughters to Gettysburg and it was really memorable - especially the park rangers that tell you what happened at the actually places you're viewing.
