Praying for Victory!

Toy soldier time again!

A new game that I have started playing requires every army to have a "camp", to represent the army's baggage, followers, etc, which can be raided and pillaged by the enemy if you are careless.

This is the camp for my Crusader army, featuring monks praying for victory - a feature of more than one battle at this time!

Now the Turks need a camp. This will feature tents, goats and camels, among other things!

Very cool! I can see why you are so passionate about this hobby! So, do you ever leave some of these on display at home? I would!

Terri - Thanks! All of my soldiers are in boxes so that I can easily take them to where I am playing a game. My wife has suggested a few times that I should sort out something better for them, but I never get around to it.

Hey Ali! Thanks. Maybe I will work on some sort of display during the summer. Or maybe not, if the weather stays as nice as it is now!

So do they come in kits depending on the battle?

tz - You can buy ready made sets for particular armies (you can even buy them already painted and ready to use if you are rich enough) but a big part of the hobby is reading about the battles and they creating your own miniature version.

Kenady - Thanks - the Turks will be fun to do, as I will be making the tents from scratch.

These are really wonderful - thank you for sharing this with us - I wonder if they do this here in the U.S.? Where do you hold the battles - can the public come and watch?
