A few photos...

Lock and Load! CRC is ready to clean up!
I did my week as Mr Mom, while my wife did her "Biggest Loser" week of insane exercise. She did jogging, yoga, weights, cross-trainer, cycling (10-20 miles a day)...
The result?
The house ran smoothly and my wife lost 5 pounds, with -1 inch to the butt, -2 inches to the waist, +2 inches to the bust. Sounds like a result to me!
I also took to carrying my camera with me..
This butterfly was one of several hundred that I found swarming over a hedgerow.

This is a "wild" rabbit that I saw while walking Custard. He was only about 6 feet from me but felt save - probably because of the 8 foot chain fence that was between us!

More sunsets...

And finally, talk about stating the obvious...

tz - I was very pleased with the butterfly pictures, thanks. I thought my wife did great too, she really went for it!

Teresa - Yes, I'm back! You like the duster image? Am I in for a name change? How about "Duster Devil"? Glad you like the photos, I am really enjoying taking random snaps of things.

Welcome back! Great pictures. And yes, if it isn't obvious to people that those rocks are uneven and dangerous, then they have more to worry about than walking on some rocks.

Cor nice pictures John. Welcome back and thanks as always for commenting on my blog.

So does Claire need a whole new load of clothes now or did she have a "back catalogue" in her wardrobe still?

Wow, your wife is amazing, what focus and drive...its all I can do to drag myself into the kitchen for another oatmeal/chocolate chip cookie and sit back on the couch to blog!!! August 1st is my day...I'm turning it around on that day...

Your pics are awesome, I am amazed at your sunsets there, they remind me of the ones at Key West, Florida, so magnificent and colorful!!!

Have you watched that BBC show, How Clean Is Your House??? After a week under your care, how would your house fare under those two ladies careful eye??? I'll bet you'd have nothing to fear!!!

Glad you're back, we missed you!!

Love the pics, and your hair is fantastic! Did you rub it on that duster before you snapped the pic?! LOL!

Yay for Clare!

And I'm so glad you're back :)

Mindy - What a wonderful way of looking at it!

um naief - We have bumble bees here, I love them. I will try to get a photo of one for you.

Alyssa - Thanks!

AmazingBrenda - My wife did enjoy it. She said it was the most relaxing holiday ever, not even any travel to worry about.

Claire - I think we are a good team - after 20 odd years I think you are either a team or driving each other nuts!

Kenady - No, yours is better... :-)

Terri - Glad you like the pictures. I think it was seeing your pictures that got me hooked again.

James - No, it is all new clothes. A while back Clare had an "I'm never going to get into that again" phase...

Kiki - August 1st? We will be watching and cheering you on! I think I would be safe on How Clean is Your House. Clare is a much harsher judge than they are! :-)

Ali - No tricks with the hair - it has reached "Mad Scientist" length and is due for a severe trim...

Glad there was success all the way around on the workout holiday. I don't think my hubby would even know what one of those dusters was (either that or he'd claim ignorance to get out of having to use it).

Great pictures and welcome back.Good job Claire!

Jenelle - I think a lot of guys know more than they let on. A common tactic is to make such a song and dance about things that the wife decides it is just easier and quicker to do it herself.

Oopsy! Did I just give the game away?

Cool pics. I copied the pic of the rabbit and sent to my mom, who loves this kinda stuff (she had domesticated rabbits in her house for about 25 years). Hope that's okay.

Cheers,
S.Amou

Sonny Amou - That is great - hope your mom likes it. My wife keeps talking about having a big house trained rabbit. I think it is a cool idea.

It is a cool idea, but if you can stand a couple of warnings, (1) rabbits can be very high maintenance and (2) really, really destructive. I'm looking at your pic and thinking, if they get a rabbit, he's going to be replacing a lot of wires if he's not careful...

I'll be more than happy to provide tips as needed if you and the wife go through with it. There's a big upside, being that they're amazingly affectionate animals that can be domesticated and have the run of a house much like a cat.

Okay, off my soapbox. Thanks for the pic of Fiver.

Regards,
S.Amou

Sonny Amou - I hadn't thought about the chewing - we would have to do some serious preparation in that case. I don't want any unexpected pyrotechnics to go with my guitar playing!
