Something for the weekend?

On Saturday I am having a day playing toy soldiers - recreating the Battle of Poitiers, one of the great victories of our local hero The Black Prince. Should be a lot of fun. Might have photos to show you all on Monday, if you will humour my nerdiness one more time.

I am off work tomorrow so that Carpet Fairy still gets a weekend of sorts. This will mean several hours of us on our own, while the kiddy-winks are at school, so I am wondering if she is making plans for visits to DIY stores, garden centres etc. We will see.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Well whether Carpet Fairy is planning shopping trips or not, I sure hope you are planning on some nice um, "couple" activities since you are without the kidlets ;)

I'll bet you can find something better to do together than a trip to the DIY store! ;-)

so do get to dress up and play soldier too...or are you just reinacting the battle with toys?

I always thought it would be fun to see a reinactment...but then I can be a bit nerdy myself (and my minor was history...the first time I went to school)

looking forward to pictures!

You've inspired me (with the last couple of posts) to have a hot bath and a glass of wine! With this smaller tub of ours, I've forgotten how much I love bath time. . . .I still want a bigger tub, but it sure sounded good when I read about it.

I heart DIY stores too! I go in for one thing and leave with the entire store!

Have a fantastic rest of the weekend.

Ali, Terri and Kenady - I don't know what you are talking about! Besides, after the night before...

Mindy - I love long weekends...

Logzie - Not sure I got any decent pictures, I will see. Glad my comment didn't offend you.

Chachi - I think you and my wife would get on really well!

Kiki - Not sure I have good pictures, but it was a great day out. We ended up taking the dog to a pet shop/garden centre which was very entertaining!

James - It was great fun - Arthur made a great opponent!

tz - I don't dress up any more - I am purely a toy soldier gamer these days. I DID dress up as a Viking when I was a teenager but gave up when I nearly had my left had crushed by a guy with a 2 handed axe. The weapons were blunt steel, no padding or anything!

Sitting in Silence - I will post some pics if they are any good. A great weekend was had!

Jen - Glad to inspire!

Jahooni - That is why I store them in boxes, so they can't get out!
