A lucky escape?

On Friday evening I was 15 minutes late finishing because I was helping a student make a map for her dissertation.

On the way home, I was going along those narrow country roads that I have posted photos of in the past and came to a spot where a car had spun off the road and into the trees. The Police were there, slowing the traffic while the remains of the car were dragged onto the back of a truck. No apparent injuries, I hasten to add, but I think the car was dead.

As I passed the Police I asked when it had happened. The answer? "About 15 minutes ago!"

I think it was more than luck. Maybe Divine intervention? Either way, I'm glad you were late that day!

That is good karma! It's good to know you are okay. The world works in mysterious ways.

Regarding your last post: you've now made me a complete nonbeliever in "Most Haunted." I loved that show (but I never put any stock in what the psychics said. I just loved the fact they scared the ever-living poo out of themselves week in and week out)! I don't watch it as much anymore, but, yeah, there is absolutely no way that King Edward I and King Henry VIII would have said a commoner should stand up for their rights. Hell, they even killed noble's for far lesser infractions. . .

Duh, Most Haunted. Duh.

Logzie - it gave YOU the chills?

Terri - Well part of me is currently thinking of that student as my guardian angel! I guess it proves that there is a reward for those little good deeds we do.

Comment deleted - These always make me paranoid! :-)

Jen - Sorry to ruin Most Haunted for you. You can still laugh at them when they frighten themselves!

Mindy - Thanks!

Yep - there was a reason that student needed help that day.
I am an absolute and firm believer of everything happening for a reason, obviously you were meant to leave late, but still to witness the mess.
So glad you had to leave late - very very glad :)

tz - I guess so - I was just busy wiping the sweat off my forehead!

Ali - Yes, maybe I should be checking to see if my off road route is usable yet!

I'd say it was an act of GOD that you weren't there. He is always watching over us. I'm glad I can depend on God.
