Feeling good on Friday!

Yes, it is Friday again - where did another week go?

Well I guess I can't complain - this has been a great week!

We won the war on the cats.

We paid off our debts.

It looks like my Canada/USA trip in 2013 is a runner.

My daughter is having a good time in Wales with the school.

I just bought a new guitar - watch out for more on this, I love it...

Not the most expensive guitar in the shop, but certainly one of the best IMO.  A high price does not guarantee a great guitar, just like most things I guess.

And they finally posted a photo of me collecting my prize at the wargames tournament!

Don't know why it is in black and white - maybe they thought I was too scarey in colour?  On further reflection, I think I look like something from Sesame Street (or as TZ pointed out, Animal from The Muppets) in this photo!

Well, best get on!  Have a great weekend!  I know I will...

Okay okay, I can barely see the headstock name. What brand is it? Looks like maybe some active pickups going on there. Beautiful! More info! Also congrats on the win! You look like a wargame winner! Tired but victorious.

James - it is a Cort - the pickups are passive but very nice. The tone control is a push-pull coil-tap giving it a great single-coil sound too. I am looking forward to the 24 frets - it will be nice to have that really high E without bending!

Going to be playing with this a LOT over the weekend...

My wife has also reminded that I need to totally finish off the V-bass that I have customised with 4 pickups (2 jazz and 2 humbuckers placed alternately). It all works, I just need to finish it off with a nice pretty control panel.

I would say you have had a successful week. The cats have been cut off at the pass. The bunnies are breathing easier as we all are.

You paid off all debt. You are definitely to be congratulated for that. Just for having that mind set. And then to accomplish it. Hooray for you.

Have fun getting acquainted with the new guitar.

And more congrats on the war games win. Cool picture, not too scary at all.

TechnoBabe - Thanks - glad I didn't scare you too! - Mind you, the beard is a bit out of hand in that photo - I look like something from Sesame Street!

congrats on your reward.

tz - Yes, you got it! Animal! Shame I can't play the drums!

Ooh, sounds great on the guitar layout. Have fun. I'm still in love with my triple-volume knob layout, using the Noiseless pickups without a switch and a copper-shielded cavity.

Drums? MIDI drums are fun, and I have a huge set of drum licks I can tweak any way I want.

Have a great weekend!

James - I was tempted to go for multiple volume controls on the 4 pickup bass, but settled for on-off switches instead. Now you have got me wondering again!

What a rockin way to wind up a week. High fives all around. Glad to hear the tide has turned with your invaders, but keep your eyes and ears open.

Wicked guitar. Perhaps you could share a short video of how it sounds?

Glad to hear your trip is on track. 2013 is not too far off to start locking down logistics. I only hope I can fenagle my way to the east coast to meet up with you and your clan.

And I would tend to agree with the muppet character (animal). That or Oscar the Grouch.

What a great week! You deserve it. With all this good stuff going on, maybe you should buy a lottery ticket.

Love the photo. I like your hair that way! :-)
