OK, I am demob happy, so here are 5 songs for the summer.
The first one is a classic from my childhood - I hated school and always hoped that my school would indeed be blown to pieces...
This one should need no introduction - summer in a can!
No band says "Summer" like The Beach Boys...
Another one from my childhood - we had this as a 45!
Every summer there is a song that gets far too much air time - this is one of those from a couple of years ago.
Have a great summer!

Didn't know those last two. I once drove a double decker for a few miles. That engine noise is unmistakable.
wReggie - Must have been limited to this side of the pond! Happy to spread a little Cliff Richard around - sorry about the last one! :-)
Before I bought "Meet The Beatles," I loved the Beach Boys. After I heard the opening chords of "I Want To Hold Your Hand," and saw them on Ed Sullivan, I went from wanting a surfboard (in Arizona?) to wanting a guitar.
Thanks for the memories!
James - A surfboard in Arizona would have been fun. You might have invented the skateboard! Good switch, though, I think that guitars are much better.
Great songs, have a great summer...45s what are those...just kidding. Take care.
Now that's what I call a motorhome! I never had that song on a 45, but I did have clothes like the little kids at the first of the video, LOL. Sad, but true.
Cinner - Yeah, 45s are those funny looking CDs, as my kids once called them. LPs caused even more hilarity!
Ninny - You and me both!
Great songs all.
I still like a few tunes like Cheryl Crow's Soak up the Sun for a summer tune.
Happy, happy post!
I always sang School's Out on the last day!
One of the things I miss most about teaching, is that feeling at the beginning of a holiday! :)
I do miss the kiddos too!
Sassy wants to know if Custard is interested in long-distance relationships? teeheehee
Y'all have fun (yep, we really say y'all),
Kit
Good songs. Nice tunes to start up a summer vacation.
I enjoyed your list of songs until.... That KETCHUP SONG. I despise it so much, and was rather perplexed why a lot of people like it.
Tell me why you like it o Rock Chef, King of Warrens!
(I love Alice Cooper's 'Poison')
