The House at Poop Corner

Last week, going into the weekend, our dogs had "bad bellies".

We are talking farts that would be classed as WMDs by the UN.

We are talking walkies at 3am so that the poor little things can spray "Poop Corner" with "chicken korma".

The whole house stank for days.

By Friday evening Mrs RC was at the end of her tether and booked both of our babies into the vets for a checkup.

Guess what?

They got better more or less over night.

It was like those times as young parents that we called out the doctor because a baby was ill, listless, had a raging temperature and rash, but by the time the doctor arrived they were back to normal and playing in the middle of a pile of toys.

Once an over-anxious parent, always an over-anxious parent I guess, even if it is now dogs that we are obsessing about.

Luckily it rained a fair bit so "Poop Corner" is now looking and smelling a lot better - no matter how hard you try, you just can't clear that sort of thing up, can you?

Don't ask for photos, there aren't any, OK?

I know I shouldn't laugh (giggle). Reminds me of when my ma would whisper to me in the doc's waiting room, "Remember to cough, and stop with the looking so bloomin' cheerful!"..

what's the policy over there about dog poop? you gotta pick it up like over here or do you do like the french and just leave it there to bask in the sunlight

Kate - not a nice picture...

wigsf - we have to pick it up if it is on public land. But with stuff like that there is only so much clearing up you can do...

Glad to hear the doggies are feeling better now. The visual you provided reminds me of one positive about not having a dog. When all the snow melts, I won't be looking at piles of poo mush.

Been there. Done that. With two big dogs, I feel (or perhaps, smell) your pain. Nothing dampens the weekend like a sick kid or dog. Glad to hear they are both better. Since both were affected at the same time, perhaps it was something they both ate? Working with my foster group, they've seen all kinds of sick dogs and I've gotten a few home remedies that is supposed to "tighen up" the situation. Hope that everyone is regular now.
