This is the prime suspect:
I was walking around the University, minding my own business, when I saw a Cake Sale, raising money for Children in Need. (Pudsy Bear is their mascot).
The cakes looked great and I knew one of the people doing the selling. But I had no cash on me!
So, off to find the nearest cash machine, which is in the Student's Union Bar.
And what was waiting for me in the bar? Another Cake Sale!
So I bought cakes at both sales - and jolly good they were too, especially as I had the bonus of knowing that I was helping a good cause as I ate.
But then I realised that my 2 youngest had both got non-uniform days at school - on the condition that you made a donation to Children in Need!
And it is only lunchtime! How many more opportunities will this bear have to seperate me from my cash?

If you have to part ways with your cash, this seems like a good way to do it. It's a win-win situation. The charities increase their bank accounts and your mouth and stomach come away happy!
Could be worse. Pudsey could have dragged you off into his cave and made you his "forest bride."

It's the holiday season. There is someone always out there trying to separate you from your money. At least it was for a worthy (& tasty) cause.
And why it is always something bad for you (cakes, cookies, baked goods)? Where is the "fresh vegetable sale"?
.... and here was me thinking the Courageous Rock Chef really got mugged, and was now sitting in front of the computer feeling rather prejudiced against people who are of bad nature :)
And that gave me an idea for a new entry! Thanks the Enlightened Rock Chef. (Alas we don't have Cake Sales here)
