Weekend...

Well the weather here is horrible - cold, raining and generally miserable. Not good cycling weather!

My youngest is 10, yes 10, on Monday so the weekend will mainly be about him - getting the last few presents, doing a cake, etc.

He is a great little guy, well not so little these days, being taller than some of his teachers. He thinks and acts like a teenager a lot of the time, often being more mature than his older brother. In fact this is often his undoing as we sometimes forget just how young he is and expect more from him than we really should!

I can't wait for him to open one of his presents, the latest Star Wars game for the Wii with a lightsabre attachment for the controller. Wonder if I should test it to make sure it works...

That's an excellent excuse...after all he'd be really disappointed if it didn't work when he opened it...

My favourite thing on the Wii is watching Laundry Fairy do the boxing she looks so funny. She always wins against me because I am laughing so hard. That makes her even more mad.

We LOVE our Wii and we are going to buy Guitar Hero for our family for Christmas...we always do a family gift. I also want MarioKart and Wii Fit...ugh...so many wants...

Definately try it out first, as James said...the dissappointment would be devistating if it didn't work for him! LOL!!

Sounds like a fantastic weekend and Happy Birthday to your son!!

James - does that make you a battered husband? ;-)

Teresa - WiiFit and Mariocart are great. Others seem to love Guitar Hero so don't let me put you off it.

Amazing how fast time goes! I've got to say I babysat for a family when the kids were only 5 and 3 years old. I was 11 - I stayed with them through my 20's when they went from 2 kids to 3. . . . I loved this family - I was there summer vacation nanny as well.

I haven't talked to them in 20+ years - she found me on Facebook yesterday. I almost cried. All 3 of them are grown up, but I still remember them being around the age of 10. . . .

10 is a good age! Happy birthday to your son!

Hope your "little" guy has a wonderful birthday! Yes, you better give that game a test run to be sure he's not disappointed when he opens his gift.

I definately think you should test it out. You have to make sure it is functioning and not defective. Let me know how it works:)

Happy Birthday to your double digit midget:)

Ali wants the Wii.
I think it's one of the best video game ideas ever.

What the? Where's my comment? I wrote one...what the hell?

Or maybe I just opened the window, then E started shrieking, and I closed it without ever having written anything? That sounds a bit more accurate than it mysteriously disappearing, doesn't it? Teehee :)

ANYways - hope you had a great weekend, and that your baby boy had a fabulous birthday - and oh, I really want a Wii. Really.

Jen - funny how se don't seem to expect others to grow older isn't it?

Terri - I never got the chance, so hopefully it will be OK when he plays it after school...

Kenady - My double-digit midget is probably as tall as you...

Um Naief - Well he was really happy with his stuff this morning - now for a good day at school and a fun party tonight...

Sitting in Silence - I didn't get to test it and I now doubt I will get a look in :-( maybe after everyone else has gone to bed?

Chris - It is great, I can't handle the ones that have masses of buttons everywhere!

Ali - I have had that happen a lot recently - not sure if it is me or a glitch in the system. I blame the system ;-)
