So, Mrs RC had the interview for her Passport. I thought it sounded like it went OK, she was not so sure.
We were both surprised when, on Friday evening, I found an important looking envelope that had come through the letter box...
So, what to do next?
Saturday saw us heading to the travel agents to see what they could offer us.
As I have said before, we like to think that we are good customers - we know what we want and are happy to pay for it. We could probably have got a cheaper deal if we had gone online and hunted around, but we like important things like this to be someone else's responsibility, and if we pay a few quid extra for that then so be it.
We told the woman where we wanted to go and when we wanted to go. She phoned for flight prices, and I was pleased when Air Malta came up cheapest. I have flown with them every time I have been to Malta and they are always good. The final price was pretty much in line with the prices we were seeing on the web so that felt good to. We paid up in full to save any messing about and left - Mrs RC seeming to be a bit dazed now that it was really going to happen, so we ambled down the high street and let it sink in.
After that, the weekend was very lazy - lots of time being spent watching True Blood DVDs (I think we must be near the end now) with me spending a few hours working on my zombie novel, which is coming on nicely and seems to have a life ( or "unlife"?) of its own. I am really enjoying writing it and should be able to post a snippet by the end of the week...
Have a great week!

Nice to know Mrs RC got her papers. I just know you guys will enjoy the time over in Malta together. Smart to use a travel agent to make sure everything is mapped out. You might be able to score some cheaper prices on line, but sometimes those "deals" don't quite turn out to be a bargain.
Agg79 - Very often in life, you get exactly what you pay for... A bargain is not a bargain if it is not what you really wanted.
Those are major steps taken toward the Maltese honeymoon! I agree with Agg that you enlisted the professionals to get plans squared away.
As for the zombie novel - unlife or undeath? Either way, I look forward to snippets.
Abby - Excellent! My typed version is catching up with the hand-written version, so it won't be long before I can post something that is decidedly zombie infested...
Congrats! I hope you have a wonderful time.
Enjoy your time. I want to hear more about your zombie novel. :)
Riot Kitty - Thanks!
Kimberly - I will be posting some snippets soon...
Just now catching up with everyone! How exciting that you have your tickets purchased! Now the fun can begin!
I, too, am looking forward to some Zombie snippets. Seems to be coming along very quickly!
ShadowRun300 - Yes it is going as fast as I can write it - just about the whole story is in my head, I just need to get it down on paper ASAP!
I'm glad to hear that the passport interview went well and that Mrs. RC IS who she claims to be. Now the honeymooning can begin.
I would have let a professional do the trip planning too. Maybe a more seasoned traveler can find their way around the bargain websites, but I'd rather leave it to someone who knows what they're doing. Peace of mind is worth the price.
Looking forward to snippets of the zombie tale!
Snippets! Snippets! Me want!
Oh, I am the same way. I'd rather pay more in order to KNOW I am getting the best possible vacation I can. I also like to leave it up to the professionals who book travel plans all day long!
I'm also glad Mrs RC got her papers!
PS; You're writing a Zombie novel? I had no idea. How cool!
