New Years Day

I got up this morning, intent on doing as little as possible.  This plan failed immediately as we found 2 stray dogs while walking our own.  Thanks to their lack of tags it took 3 hours and a lot of walking to get them back to their owners.  Being the day it is, no one was interested in lost dogs.

Still, they are home now and not lost or run over so it was worth it.

I will tru doing very little again tomorrow, when my sloth will also be fed by the 3 milk cake that is currently baking in the oven.

Oh, before I go here is a sign that i saw in a fish and chip shop while trying to find a vet that was open to scan the dogs microchips.  I know that potatoes are getting expensive but....

I'm not surprised in the least, but that was very generous of you to spend time returning stray dogs to their homes. Too many people would just leave them be and not bother with them.

I never would have thought to find their owners. I would have taken them home with me and given them mommy love. Of course, Stud would not allow me to do that, so I'd be starting off 2013 getting arrested for punching him out.

Look at you - first day of the year, and you've already saved two dogs! Someone should treat you to some of those Regular Chips!

Ah, it must be early anticipation of the fiscal cliff ;)

Happy New Year! How sweet of you to return those dogs. How did you find the owners? Do you live in a very small place?

Sorry you didn't get to be a sloth today, but how generous of you to take the time to find where they belong.
The three milk cake sounds interesting... care to share pics or recipe or story behind it??
Enjoy your sloth day tomorrow!

Bravo. I am sorry you didn't get to relax as you had planned, but some missions are worth the price. That is a great thing you did in returning those dogs to their families. I hope they appreciated your efforts. And scanning the microchips is proof positive that we should chip our pets so that they can find their way home if they ever get lost.

And those must be some really good chips...
