Trashy Movie

As I said, I was intending to do some trashy movie watching over the weekend, and boy, did I find a corker!

It was called something imaginative like YETI.

It was made THIS YEAR!

It was one of those amazingly cheap Canadian movies with lots of dodgy CGI.

The outdoor scenes seemed to have been filmed on 2 days.  A bright sunny day with snow on the ground and a gloomy one with no snow on the ground.  Clips from both days were mixed together mercilessly, prompting shouts of "Snow!"  and "No snow!" and "Snow again!"

Alice Cooper was in it for about 2 minutes, strutting the stage of a very small rock festival (about 30 people) before the Yeti (which was about 50 feet tall) literally kicked him off the stage.

Yep, it was just what the doctor ordered.

Canadians should not be allowed to produce entertainment. We have no talent.

I think of it as the west's answer to Bollywood...

I've seen a few lame movies in my time, how could I have missed this classic? From your review, I might have to move it to the top of my queue.

Whew. I'm glad you explained. I was a little worried about what kind of trashy movies you'd be watching this weekend. Although relieved, I can't say I'll be watching YETI anytime soon. Glad you enjoyed it though! (You did enjoy it, right?)

I think Alice Cooper would probably be a saner choice than anyone on our ballot...that movie sounds hilarious!

Agg79 - It was something of a master piece...

ShadowRun300 - Ah good - don't want you thinking I am watching other types of trashy movies!

Riot Kitty - Yes I hear a lot of people saying that you currently have to choose the least bad candidate :-( The movie was wonderful...

I'm not much of a trashy movie watcher, but I'd love to see Alice Cooper get kicked off the stage by a 50 foot yeti! Sometimes you just want to watch something that doesn't require much thought and is just mindless entertainment. This is what I love about Netflix. I just watched the entire first (and only?) season of Freaks and Geeks. Great t.v. show!
