Misty Mornings
I love mist and fog. I love the way it softens everything, lurks in hollows, swirls around at the slightest breeze and generally makes walking the dogs feel like an episode of Scooby Doo. The dogs love it too, as the mist seems to amplify the smells. making each corner a real sniff-fest.
When I am cycling I also like the way it causes all but the most psychotic drivers to go a bit slower and drive with a little more care than usual. It was with a little smug satisfaction that I saw that one of these had missed the road slightly this morning, and was sitting with both of his left wheels in a ditch, unable to go anywhere...

I dislike the fog yet I live in a place which fogs over almost every single morning. It makes driving less safe.
Wigsf - Now that sounds like a lot of fog. I guess even I would get fed up with it sooner or later.
Just a little bit is nice - not for the guy who ended up in the ditch though ;)
Nice photo!
We have a great deal of fog here in Surrey. It can be beautiful but makes driving quite dangerous at times.
Light fog really is beautiful! And in the wintertime, the fog will occasionally freeze to the trees, making them sparkle in the sunlight. Talk about stunning!
Did you offer to hook his car to your bike so you could pull him out?
I like a good fog too. Kind of Arthurian.
Riot Kitty - maybe he will learn a lesson?
Joe Cool - Sure it does - I hate riding in cars when it is misty/foggy!
ShadowRun300 - I have never seen that. How about posting a photo when it happens next?
Lotta Joy - I was tempted, but then I remembered the times he had almost side-swiped me into that very ditch. It would not have ended well, I fear :-)
Abby - Indeed! In fact, if I make a small detour, I pass an area where there is supposed to have been a battle between Vikings and Saxons - some claim to have seen and/or heard the ghosts fighting...
We had some fog this morning, but it was sort of frozen. So I guess we had some... frog...?
Anyway, it made the deck a little slippery and the dogs were slip-sliding on their way out to the back yard!
Terri - Hope Lucy was OK with the slipping! Don't want her to damage her hips, or is she past the danger stage now?
I love the fog (except when I have to drive an hour to work in it). Something about it is ethereal, surreal. The dogs seem to come alive as well. As if there are new smells to explore. Glad you are taking care on foggy days to stay safe.
