House Guest

I guess it has been on the cards for some time, now, but the RC family has a new member.

Well, not totally new.

Meet Bryn (again).  She is the one on the right.

You might remember that she is my uncle's dog and has been part of the gang for walks for, hm, a couple of years now. She is 9 years old - look at her white face - but is strong and healthy - so strong that I sometimes worry about my shoulder if she sees a cat...

Well last night, she moved in with us.  She has settled in great, but Frou Frou (the little one in the photo) is a bit put out as Bryn does not recognise her as top dog and refuses to give up toys and chews to her.  Custard (the golden lab in the photo) got a bit excited but then went to bed - he adapts quickly.

Not sure how long we will have her for - originally it was just for a few days, maybe a couple of weeks but now everyone is acting as though it is a permanent move.  Don't think Bryn would mind that.  Frou Frou will have to get used to it  :-)

Well! A third dog, that's sure to present some changes in the Rock Chef household. Cute pic of the trio, it looks like Bryn is asserting some alphaness with Custard.

Hahaha! You are my idol! Three dogs will just make things happier around your house, I'm sure.

I asked Mark the other day if he would be open to a third dog. He asked, "You're kidding, right?" I said, "Only a little bit."

A guy at work may need a new home for his dog. If Mark didn't keep a level head, I would probably take her in a heartbeat.

It seems like you have the perfect home for multiple pets. Looks like they have plenty of room to run! How many of them do you keep in the house?

Abby - Yes, Bryn is not very ladylike...

Terri - that is a very slippery slope. When I was a teenager we ended up with 21 dogs in the family home, all rescued...

ShadowRun300 - All off the dogs live in doors - the rabbits are in runs in the garden. We are lucky to have some nice fields nearby for walks - the photo was taken on a walk - that is not our garden, which is full of rabbits.

21 dogs in the family home!!! That's one heck of a lot of doggy-doo to clean up. I was in a house with 10+ cats yesterday. There was a cat on every chair.... nowhere to sit.
I hope Bryn enjoys his stay at your house, permanent or otherwise.... only 18 more dogs to go!!!!!

Shammickte - Sounds like out place, except some chairs had 2 dogs on them...

Another one to join the Rock Chef menagerie? 21 dogs? Wow. That qualifies as a zoo. How did ya'll manage with that many under foot? I wondered how Frou Frou would take to the new house guest.
