Nice trail pictures. Would be interesting to see the same trail in the spring as comparison. And the White Wizard looks like he came prepared for the wet walk.
Agg79 - I keep meaning to get the dogs out to these woods when the weather is good, so maybe there will be photos in a few months time. The White Wizard is never cold or wet...

Are those real holly leaves and berries? I don't think I've ever seen them except as Christmas decorations. And the Gorse bushes are pretty... but those must be dangerous spikes.

I keep scanning your photos, looking for Merlin. These are some really great shots. I can almost smell the damp woods from looking at them!
I've found that it's a good idea to bring a white wizard when exploring the woods.
Terri - Yes, the holly and berries are real. I have not started faking shots yet :-) And you are right, do not fall into a gorse bush... One thing I love about the countryside in winter is the little signs that life still goes on.

Ents are sneaky. I used to see them behind my house before I moved. They thought they fooled me when they would move a few inches one way or another, but I was onto them.
I'm new here. I just saw that you lost your daughter... I lost mine when she was 21. There is nothing in the world close to that.

TZ - Yes, holly is great. We have tried growing them in our front garden but with little success. One died and the other just stayed the same size for around 10 years!
