Bad things

My old friend Shadowthorne seemed to be disappointed at the lack of non-food "bad things" that were talked about in the comments to my last post, so I thought I would put that right now.

By the way, Shadowthorne, I must get your recipe for Oxtail Soup.  It sounds totally different to what I get over here - just right for a Britsh winter!

Anyway. back to the post.

For the last 2 weeks Mrs RC and I have been indulging ourselves in a really bad thing.  Each evening, we can't stop ourselves.  When all of the day's work is over our minds turn to it. We try to resist it and find other things to distract us.

Reading.

Listening to music.

Watching a movie.

Nothing works.

We are hooked, and can't help ourselves.

We need therapy.

We are addicted to

Celebrity Big Brother.

Don't judge us.  Somethings are just too enjoyable, regardless of how bad and just plain WRONG they are!

UPDATE   One of the people on the show just asked "Where is Japan?"

OH, well if you were looking for non-food bad things... Here it would be Jersey Shore. (Or as Mark calls it: Jersey Whores.) It's so utterly ridiculous. It's like watching a train wreck. You can't turn away.

I didn't even know there was a Celebrity Big Brother. I think this is one of the reasons we don't have cable.

Ho ho ho. And now we are talking about cable tv programs? We don't have Big Brother here, and I am too lazy to google it up to know what it is :p
I don't watch much tv now because the bad thing that has taken over my tv now comes in the form of new PlatStation 3 games.
They are addictively fun. So real. So many people to kill. So much blood. Mwa ha ha ha ha!
I lost many hours of sleep because of video games.
(no i don't need therapy, yet)
P.s. - actually the oxtail recipes around the world are mostly similar. Boil the damn thing till tender and put anything you like into the pot with it. I adjusted the original recipe by adding miso paste and blended tomatoes. And I neglected to cut off the fat from the oxtail, thus the inch thick floating stroke-to-happen.

Terri - I saw bits of that when it was first shown here. It has inspired similar things based in the UK...

Abby - Probably a good move! :-)

Shadowthorne - Video games are a real time-killer aren't they? I haven't played in a long time. The last game I learnt to play well was on the PS1! Aw, I was hoping for a wonderful exotic recipe there!

That's ok. At least it's not Jersey Shores or the Housewives of OC or any of those other train wrecks out on TV. There's plenty of garbage out there on TV to eat up your time.

I figure you are just watching it while waiting for the next round of the Walking Dead to start back up.

Agg79 - Yes, you are absolutely right! Well spotted, that man!

Shrinky - thanks, that is a relief! I know how good you are at keeping secrets.
