Tiger Tiger...

This is the start of a new wargames project - Normandy, 1944. I have read a lot about the fighting there - very grim. I am aiming for these games to capture this.
This German Tiger tank, the most feared tank of the time, is the first one to be finished. Well, almost finished, I still need to add crosses, but these will be transfers - I am not that good at painting.
You see, these tanks are pretty small!

Oh my god!!! It's MINISCULE!
I thought it's much bigger.

And it is beautiful... What did you use for the grass?

I have no patience in such project, but I admire those who have :)

Shadowthorne - Thanks! The grass is special stuff that they sell in modelling shops. My main enemy is getting distracted by something new - half way through one project I start a new one...

Great tanks! I would have guessed they were much bigger until I saw the comparison with your hand.

Terri - these are exceptional models - the detail is much better than on many larger ones.

Tanks for the picture!
That's a pretty amazing job painting something the size of a corn chip. Very realistic. What did you paint it with? An eyelash?

BTW - I've been on a Tiger II in a German museum. Massive hunk of steel. Are also adding some Shermans & Panthers?

agg79 - I have got a real mix of stuff lined up - Tiger IIs, Panzer IVs, IIIs and IIs (no Panthers yet), Shermans, Crusaders, Matildas, half-tracks (German and US), jeeps, Kubelwagens, German motor bikes and sidecar combos, infantry, HMGs, 88s, British 25 pounders... Some will be painted for Europe, some for North Africa.
