The Weekend

We live under the flightpaths of planes that are flying from London to northern Europe. Normally we can see several planes in the sky at any time, or at least their trails. Of course, there are no flights at the moment, so we have clear blue skies!

We are continuing to walk the terrible trio. Here is Bryn:

and Spot:

This is my usual view when walking them. We keep them all on extending leads (Custard because we hawe to and the others because they aren't ours and don't want them to run away, although I doubt they really would now).

The weekend was good overall - things seem to be settling down a bit now, and we had a great barbeque on Sunday to round it off. My home made burgers were a big hit...
Here's to things continuing to improve!
Let's also hope that the ash cloud goes away too! My Canadian friend isn't due for a couple of weeks yet, but who can tell what will happen? I heard this morning that the winds are now taking it towards the east coast of the USA!

Was wondering if all that ash was affecting you guys. It's a weird feeling not hearing/seeing any planes in the air. Nice (if you aren't stuck somewhere waiting to go home).

Brave man to walk all three mutts at once. I am only up to two at a time and that can sometimes be a challenge.

Turns out, it wasn't volcanic ash. Just Bjork got really pissed off and starting blowing things up.

agg79 - In my prime I used to walk 7 dogs, but I am totally out of practice these days. The thought of walking 3 at once was a bit intimidating, but they are being very good.

wigsf - I can see that would be good therapy! "It's oh so quiet..."

:) Walking the dogs.... I knew some people in this neighborhood have dogs, but they rarely walk them.

I've seen the ash-clouds in the papers today. Hope you folks continue to have clear weather :)

Shadowthorne - Funny, isn't it? Over here, failure to walk your dog is thought of as neglect! The ash is above us, but invisible. To the naked eye it looks like a perfect day for flying!

I have a pilot friend stuck in Germany.

Looks like our skies after 9/11.

There are so many things going on around the world lately. Earthquakes etc. Good thing you don't have to fly to make a living. The dogs look pretty well behaved on the walk.

Cute puppies!! Lexi does not know how to walk on a leash...so I need to carve out a time to begin training her...there's so many places to walk here and I'm hoping it can be my main source of excercize!

The ash heading toward the East Coast...oh my...wonder how this will affect Chuck's job...hmmm...

Glad to hear things are settling down some and that you were able to enjoy your weekend.

I hate to tell you this, but Spot has no spots!
