Jeez....

I hate feeling like this.

Events of the last week or so have really worn me down. The worst bit was having an elderly, much loved relative accuse me of trying to kill him and take his money. And no sign that he is changing his mind either.

I try not to take it personally, try not to think "is this all the thanks I get after the years of always being there to help when needed?" But it is hard.

Meanwhile I will carry on doing the right thing, regardless.

One of these things is walking an extra dog. We now have Custard, plus Spot (my dad's dog), plus Bryn. Bryn is a female mongrel, really sweet and is adjusting to walking with the other 2 very well. I will try to get some good pics of this bunch in the next day or so.

Meanwhile, to take our minds off things, we have started turning our attention to the summer's camping. Saw some good equipment in a store that just opened near us, but only bought some new heavy-duty tent pegs and a nice big mallet to bash them in with. The place where we go camping has got very stony soil, so these should prove very useful. We are all hoping that this summer will be as nice as the winter was nasty!

Hope you had a great weekend!

Hope to post something more entertaining soon!

... I am sorry you are feeling a bit down lately. I hope walking with the dogs helps tremendously to boost your mood.

As I don't have my close friends near me for support, at least I have my ferrets and cats. Four animals which are always happy too see me :)

Anyway, Bryn IS a girl's name (I read a book with a female with the same name once, a fantasy book). 'Brian @ Bryan' is for a guy :)

Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Shadowthorne - Yes, the walks are great fun and do help me unwind. Thanks for pointing out that Bryn is also a girls name - I had not come across that before! Ferrets always seem to be happy don't they?

OH, they are indeed happy animals :)
Anyway, I just remembered from where the name Brynn I read before...

It was from the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' Series by George R.R. Martin. Fantastic series, I heard they will adapt into movies soon :)

The girl Bryn was a warrior woman.

Shadowthorne - makes sense - it is a Welsh name and in the middle ages Welsh women had a fierce reputation, apparently skinning captured English knights alive.

It's tough sometimes dealing with family. Especially when they get older. The wife's parents are in a similar state, so we can feel some of your frustration.

Good luck, grit your teeth and keep taking the dogs for long walk. There is something theraputic about walking a dog (or two) that helps you forget some of your problems.

That's one of the reasons I am so attached to my two. They are very loving and forgiving for all of our flaws.

Go for steel tent pegs. I have a set ot titanium that are supposed to be almost indestructible. Nice to have but it doesn't keep you from losing them....

Agg79 - thanks - I have sorted things out in my mind now and feel a lot better. I think the pegs I bought are steel - like huge nails, really.

I can imagine how frustrating it is to have someone you've cared for suddenly decide you are out to get them. That would certainly take a toll.

You do seem to have a great capacity for looking on the bright side, or shifting your focus toward nicer things. I hope everything works itself out soon.

Awe man...I'm so sorry. Hopefully having 2 extra doggies around will help you and cheer you up some. Thinking of you...and hoping this passes soon. I don't like to hear you downcast. Hang in there friend.
