I'm dreaming of...

As some of you may have realised, I sometimes have strange dreams that I can remember really clearly. Recently, though, I have had 3 that were stranger than usual because they featured blog friends...

It started when I dreamed that one blog friend (who I will not name, but she is welcome to own up if she wants to) became the new Lara Croft, and I seemed to be the only person who realised who it was. To everyone else she was just the latest incarnation of the video game heroine.

My next subject was Ali who blogged about it and provided a wonderful picture of herself to go with it! Check it out.

Most recently I had this one.

A nuclear powerstation fairly close to where I live has gone into meltdown and is on the verge of exploding and killing everyone for miles around. Who will save us? How can we escape? There is only one chance.

"Please, Terri, come and save us all! You are our only hope!!!!"

A streak of red, white and blue flashes over the horizon - SHE IS HERE, WE ARE SAVED!

Looking amazingly like Supergirl, but with a big letter T on her chest, Terri flies to the powerstation, lifts up the whole thing on its foundations and flies up into space with it. There is a silent, distant flash as the reactor explodes.

We hold our breath, waiting to see if Terri is safe.

Back she comes, to ringing cheers from the gathered crowd. She lands and shakes her hair back into place, the only evidence of her recent experience being a small but very fetching smudge of black on one cheek, and looks at us disapprovingly.

Terri then goes into a short but cutting rant about how she was about to put her feet up and take a well earned rest when we called for help, so instead of resting she had to fly half way around the world to save our sorry asses. Don't do it again, OK?

The streak of red, white and blue disappears over the horizon.

Goodbye, Terri, thank you for saving us, sorry for disturbing your rest...

Dude - you've got some crazy dreams going on! - Is there something in the water over there? - if so, bottle it up and send it my way!

Hmmm, there seems to be somewhat of a pattern in your recent dreams John...all of the women in blogland seem to be becoming quite heroic - at least to your sub-conscious.

Lucky man - you can see us all for what we really are!

Maybe next one of us will dream of you - as a super hero father, ready to cook dinner, walk the dog, or do laundry at a moments notice! In a dashing lycra outfit of course...maybe with a cape?

I was HOPING I was going to be a superheroine just like Ali! I love it! I wish I had dreams like these. I rarely remember my dreams and when I do, they're too strange to share. Most recently, I had a dream that involved the CFO of our company, a small, red-headed Conan O'Brian look-alike. I won't go into details, but when I woke up, my feeling was, "EEEEEW! Why would I dream THAT????"

Zig - I don't know what it is, but when I work it out I will let you know!

Ali - is there a web-cam that I am not aware of? How did you know...

Terri - Eeeew! I prefer my dreams! Still, you know what they say about money and power...

I knew it, I knew it, Terri has been secretly hiding her superpowers from us!!!

Rock Chef, Are you eating spicy foods?? What is up with your dreams, and do you wake up rested or exhausted??? The other night I had a dream that I kept having to hide from a monster and when I woke up I felt like I hadn't slept a wink!!!

I have really weird dreams too. I remember most all of mine for quite a bit of time afterwards. Sometimes for years (I have one remembered from when I was 5 years old). Now, I wake up and tell the husband all about them. Sometimes we laugh and laugh. Other times we sympathize, 'cos he knows how it feels to dream bad one's every now and then . . .

I'm glad I'm not the only one out there.

Just had to stop back to let you know I was just reading this post to my hubby. He was laughing and then I started laughing so hard I could barely get the words out. Thanks for sharing your dream! That was so fun!

I have some pretty weird dreams too. I am sure that sometime will write about them! Good one!
