17 again...

Well I guess it couldn't last.  This morning was cool and wet, but still beautiful in its way.  I love the way the successive hedgerows fade into the distance...

So, what is happening in the RCworld?

Not a vast amount, but there is some movement towards getting a band going with a guy who used to sing on one of my old bands.  We are going to meet up for a good catch up session soon and then start the search for a drummer and a guitarist who just want to have a bit of fun.  Of course, an alternative would be to create backing tracks to play/sing along to, but that is less fun and removes the fun of jamming with real musicians.

The other thing, another return to my younger days, is that I might be playing a few games of Dungeons and Dragons!  Haven't played in years, but there seems to be a small group of guys of similar age to me who want to give it a go. Should be a laugh!  I will let you know how things work out.

Meanwhile, the zombie story continues...

A live musician is always more fun than backing tracks - for the musician and the listener! (I can vouch for the listening side of it.)
And I bet you'll have a great time playing Dungeons and Dragons again.
Will we be getting a Zombie excerpt in the near future?

ShadowRun300 - yes, backing tracks can be pretty dull... Yes, I will post another snippet soon...

Cool! Looking forward to updates on the band. Lovely photo, it really captures my favorite kind of scenery in England.

Riot Kitty - I guess I am pretty luck really - once out of the town I am in the middle of some classically English countryside.

Getting a band together, huh? Wise to have the idea of fun at the top of the list. No pressure, just enjoying making music.

That's a nice bucket list of stuff! Nice photo, very lush.

I was just saying to a coworker that work and life are stressful and that I need to work on balancing the stress with enjoyable activities during my non-work time. You seem to have a good grasp on that concept. Getting a band together and putting priority on your music will be very fulfilling for you, I imagine.

I never played D&D, but I know those who did were very dedicated. Have fun!

ooooh I really like that photo, would love to paint it, maybe I'll copy it.
And I would love to be part of a band, it sounds like such fun, but unfortunately I have no talent for playing instruments at all. But when I was in the chorus of the annual variety show I loved it.... being part of making music is awesome.

The possibility of starting up a new band has all sorts of potential. Hope you can find a good drummer.

I haven't played D&D since my college years those many, many, MANY years ago.
