Lunchtime Date

Mrs RC just popped over for our weekly lunch date.

The morning was thoroughly miserable - I woke to the sound of pouring rain, which stopped just long enough for me to get to work dry before starting again on and off for the rest of the morning.

Then Mrs RC arrived and we headed to the garden, wondering what was in store for us.

First off, the seats were dry - must have been sheltered by the building that they are up against.

Then the clouds parted and we had an hour of wonderful sunshine as we chatted and munched on sandwiches and cakes.  I must admit to feeling that the sun was JUST FOR US.  There were plenty of clouds scudding around, but none of them came between us and the sun.  Wonderful!

Now I am back to work for the afternoon, which is just going to float past - just a bit of Excel and then some photocopying, nice and routine...

It's nice to have Mother Nature on your side! But, where's the picture of the cakes?? I'm missing MY weekly dessert fix. :)
Haven't heard from Mrs. RC lately. Perhaps she's busy planning your Malta trip... and your weekly lunches. Tell her we miss her!

ShadowRun300 - Sorry, I forgot to take my camera...

I will pass on the message to Mrs RC - she is aware that she hasn't blogged for a while but seems to lack the "oomph" at the moment. I will give her a push tonight.

Who knew you could control the weather so well! Or maybe it's Mrs. RC's influence.

Nature loves you! It sounds like a great lunch and I think it's sweet that you have a date every week.

Nice of the rain to let you stay dry and especially to give you a nice lunch break with your lovely wife!

Abby - I don't think it was Mrs RC's influence - she got rained on about 4 times yesterday...

Betty - Thanks - it is a fairly new thing, but I hope it continues.

Meleah Rebeccah - You are such a softie :-)

Terri - It was amazingly lucky.

Riot Kitty - I did. Hopefully she will start again now that she has finished reading a stack of True Blood books (ie the entire set end to end...)

Sunshine On My Shoulder...nothing feels better than sunshine after a rain. We've had terrible weather for the past whole week and today the sun is out. I suddenly feel younger!

Glad you and Mrs. RC get to have those sweet picnics together.

Ninny - currently hammering down outside - weekend supposed to be better. Hope so, the girl dogs are not liking it one big, although Custard the lab doesn't notice.

The sun was indeed shining just for you and Mrs RC. That is a great way to think about it. Your weekly lunches together sound great.

Another great lunch date? Sounds like that is becoming a regular thing for you two. But be careful - rumors get started that way.
