(Call me Snow White)

Relaxing for a bitr before going food shopping...

The game onThursday was great - very silly, but a lot of fun.  Following conversation persuaded me that I need more games like this, so on Friday I bought a zombie game which I tried with Mrs RC and a couple of the kids yesterday.  This was also great fun - Mrs RC won without really understanding how the game worked (or so she said!)

We also had a dog bath day yesterday, doing our 2 plus Bryn (my uncle's dog) and Spot (my dad's dog).  Total mayhem, but everyone enjoyed it, especially Bryn who stole Custard's cow hoof chew...

Sad to see tha Paralympics coming to an end.  I hope you got to see at least some of it - I was looking forward to wheelchair basketball etc, but in the end it was the swimming that really got me. Watching some of it was really emotional for me.  I guess that having had a daughter with a level of physical disability I really appreciated the sort of battles that some of these people are fighting every day, and to see what they are achieving is a real eye opener.

OK, better get going.  Next week looks like being another busy one - see you soon, in between rebuilding our map collection...

I can see the fingerprints in the photo! Pretty clear picture. How did you entice the butterfly to come visit?

What a day! That was a lot of dog baths, but you make it sound like a blast.

Since I don't watch TV, I didn't know about the Paralympics. I can understand your having to deal with feelings watching, natural that it would bring back memories of your daughter.

That is a great shot of the butterfly Papa Snap Happy!

Oooh, dog baths. My back hurts to think about it. We have places here (Wag 'n' Wash) where for a small fee, they provide the large tub and shower head, blow dryers, etc. for a good dog spa treatment. It's about $6 and well worth it to me!

It's sad that the paralympians don't get the coverage/endorsements that some of the (big headed, obnoxious) Olympians do. I'm sure watching hits close to home for you.

CiCi- the butterfly was on the path looking a bit sick, so I picked it up, took the pic and then put in onto a bush. Hope it felt better after than.

Abby - the funding thing might be changing for some - one British guy just appeared on an ad for Mercedes cars! Wag and Wash sounds great!

Awesome photo! Like Abby said, the paralympians don't get as much coverage, and so I have to say I didn't get to see any of it. I can say, however, that they are completely inspirational. I can see why it would be emotional for you.
Hope you have a great week!

Great photo. I think you are getting the hang of that camera and following in the footsteps of a great Minnesota photographer.

I am sorry to hear the Paralymics are over. We had minimal updates on them like the barrage we had with the olympics over here. I agree with you that it is more inspiring to see people who can fight the battles and overcome their challenges to take home the gold. In my opinion, those folks have way more courage than most typical olympic or football or baseball athletes.

I can barely get a butterfly to sit still long enough to snap a photo, and you get one to sit on your fingers? How do you do it? Great shot!

Riot Kitty - Thanks!

ShadowRun300 - Shame about the poor coverage you got. One of our channels covered just about all of it. Great stuff.

Agg79 - Steady on, old chap! That is high praise indeed!

Terri - Well to be fair I don't think he was feeling very well :-(
