Where did those grey hairs come from?

I guess the creeping years catch up eventually - a wrinkle here, a grey hair there, body hair sprouting in placed that used to be smooth as a baby's behind.  Even a few aches in the morning - but I am putting that down to the need for a new bed at the moment.

I am refusing to get old.

OK, I am not going for immortality.  I accept that I am going to be pushing up daisies one day - part of me is even looking forward to it.  I just refuse to become an "old man" before that happens, no matter how many years it may take me to get there.

I will remain young at heart - playing my guitars, playing with toy soldiers and having silly conversations.  Do you think we will still be blogging (or whatever replaces it) by then?  I hope so.

In the meantime, maybe I can get a 2nd job as Santa this Christmas?

It's the kids. They are the #1 cause to grey hair (and receding hairline).

Keep playing the guitar and have fun with the soldiers. You are only as old as you feel. Who knows if we'll be blogging in the future but it will be on some mind control link (run by Google).

Remember the motto: Illegitimi non carborundum.

or how about:

Hair today, gone tomorrow.

Did you shave it all off at one point? Mark did that once. He'd had a mustache since forever. In fact, I'd never known him without it. One day, he shaved it all off. Scared the kids and everything. They didn't recognize their daddy without his facial hair. His, like yours, always had that reddish tint, even though the hair on top of his head was never red. Anyway, when it came back, it came back with lots of grey.

I'm with you. I'm going to keep doing the things that keep me young. I don't think we should feel obligated to make our lifestyles match what we think is expected for our years.

I HOPE we'll still be blogging (or whatever replaces it) for years to come. It's our opportunity to make and maintain friendships across the miles. Our parents and grandparents didn't have such opportunities!

Grey hairs? What are those? (I'm in denial).

Yes, definitely keep playing the guitar and with the toy soldiers and having silly conversations - it will give your grandkids something to tease you about! Gee, I hope we'll still be blogging. Immortality I can handle, but I don't know about handling an end to blogging.

Agg79 - To be honest, I don't think my kids are the cause of the grey - they are just too good! Mind control blogging - that would be great, wouldn't it?

Terri - I regularly shave mine off, but I rarely stay clean shaven for very long. I assume that you will be bowling for many years to come!

Abby - I can't see an end to blogging in some form or other, although I guess we might be forced into some sort ot twitter mode before long...

I color my grays. I ignore my aches and pains. And I pout regularly. That's how I maintain my youth. :)
I happen to like grays on men, however. My hubby's been all gray since his early 30s.
