Yesterday

Spent yesterday taking Number One Son to an interview at a University.  It was about as far away as you can go and still be in England.  We set off at 5am, arriving just before 11am.

My brother was driving us, and the whole journey was taken up with tales about his passengers.  He should blog - it would be hilarious!

The interview went well and Number One Son will be going there unless something terrible happens with his exams.

We stopped off on the way for a break on the way, but I was put off eating there.  I went into the toilet area and it smelled terrible.  It was as though someone had filled those automatic air freshener gadgets with pee and left them going all day.  Nice.

The return journey confirmed my as a cycling non-driver.  The roads were fairly clear but this just seemed to encourage the idiots out there...

This morning I managed to get one of those much requested "fluffy bunny" photos:

Bambi and Thumber?

PS  Agg79 just raised an important question - names!  We have this black one, a brown one, 4 white ones with black ears and markings, including one with a black moustache and one with a large splodge of black  on his face.  Suggestions for names are welcome - preferably names which will work for both males and females...

There are idiot drivers everywhere. Some just drive really expensive cars or oversized trucks. I sometimes envy you and your bike ride (except when it's raining or freezing cold). Nice hare raising shot. Still no bunny names?

Well, the one with the 'tashe could be Groucho, and maybe three of the other's could take up the rest of the Marx names? Oh, hang on, are those boy names? (Shrug)

That photo is too cute, which clown thought to drag Bambi to live there?

Hubby HATES it if he has a puncture or something, and has to commute it in on the tube to work. He is with you as far as peddle-power goes, come wind, hail, snow or shine, you can't part that boy from his bike.

Glad to hear your son has a Uni picked out, what does he want to read?

Shrinky - Marx Brothers might work - will have to think on that. My son is doing Theoretical Physics and Maths. Yes, you have to travel to get something that geeky, but Physics at Lancaster is rated 3rd in the country so it is worth it.

Congratulation to the son and the doting dad, yay!
Hope he will do well in his exam.

I named my pets by.... Looking at them and chose the first nice thing that crossed my mind. Thus my cat name is Artemis Kikuraides and my ferrets, Disco, Kaos and Pookie.

Shadowthorne - We sometimes call Frou Frou "Pookie Doodle Puppy" after a childrens song. We tend to name animals that way too - even our first daughter's name was changed moments after she was born!

Does your brother drive a cab for a living?

So glad you have decided on a uni and things are moving along in the right direction for your son's education.

The black bunny could be Midnight.
The brown one could be Cocoa.

Congratulations on a successful interview for number 1 son!

There are many times I would like to swear off driving, but I'm too lazy to use public transportation.

Bunny names... hmmm... how about Doc, Grumpy, Sneezy, Sleepy, Bashful, Happy and Dopey? Wait, that's one too many. Skip Grumpy! :-)

Congrats on a great interview!
I spend a total of two hours on the road going to and from work. I see all kinds of crazies out there. However, there have been times I have been the crazy one, so I just try to be patient with the others and stay out of their way.
The bunny is adorable! You should be so proud! :)

Theoretical Physics and Math - a scientist! He must be excited to get going.

I see terrible awful bizzar drivers every day and try to keep the blood pressure down, so I won't say anything further.

I'd much rather look at your cute yet-to-be-named bunny.

Baby bunnies! Well, of course, it's springtime! Congrats on your son's getting in to the university he wanted. So glad all that is behind me. No more kids in college and no more debt!
