Dull, dull dull...

Good thing you have insurance that will cover the broken stove. Do you also have insurance for the damaged ceiling? Yikes. Always something when there are children. But they are so worth all the excitement aren't they?

I LOVE that you can laugh about the overflowing bath tub. I hope it wasn't a flood of epic proportions or anything like that!

Hey, if the day was so dull, you could have played a song about drinking beer! ;-)

You could surf down the stairs...All of these years in construction has armed me for just these kinds of things from my kids. At least you cam laugh about it...that is not a skill I ave developed yet!

Man, if that is a dull day, I would love to see one of your more exciting ones. Trouble usually comes in waves, but hopefully, you've had your fill and no more surprises.

You sure seem to be taking those challenges a lot calmer than I would, but I like how you still have your sense of humor. Good luck with the repairs.

TechnoBabe - Oh yes, the kids are great - a bit of water is nothing in the grand scheme of things is it?

Saz - Hi! Great to see you! I try to keep calm - it is the little things that make me lose it, like photocopiers that think they know best :-)

Terri - It wasn't major in the end, just enough to add to the generally bad day that Mrs RC was having. The song! Why didn't I think of that?

Sparky - Good idea. My eldest daughter once flooded out the bathroom and was laying on the floor pretending to swim! Classic stuff. Oh you must learn to laugh in the face of adversity - or is that just a British thing?

agg79 - We have really had our fill of bad stuff this year - going camping next week, what can possibly go wrong? :-0

Aw, I'm proper chuffed to see Saz in here (grin)! Hey, stop tempting fate, things have this horrible way of falling in three's.

My fan oven went up the creek a few weeks back, we're not insured for it (I don't think), so I've started using the other oven I've never used before. Shit, heat really does travel to the top, doesn't it? We're breaking our teeth on all things crispy, here, 'til I get used to it!

Shrinky - Yes, the 2 ovens give totally different results don't they? The fan oven is great for meat and stuff like that, while the normal oven is best for bread, cakes, that sort of thing.

Seems that Saz came from the same town as me!

I sure wish my (step) Dad would have "laughed" when I did things like overflowing the bathtub!!! You're a good father RC!!

Teresa - Things like that just aren't a big deal to me - giving my kids a happy childhood IS!
