Well I couldn't put it off much longer...

So tonight, after work, I went out with my kit

Found a spot, tuned up and recorded the first thing I played, which turned out to be the start of a song I am writing. When finished, and recorded in the Rock Shed, it will be the greatest power ballad in Rock (Chef) history. It will!

I know the sound is rubbish (as you can see my amplifier that I carry around with me is very small) and the playing probably isn't much better, but you asked for it! Don't blame me!

Here it is...

well worth the wait. can tell that you love what you are doing as well.

thanks for the tidbit and you need to realize what you've started. this is likely only going create requests for more VLOG posts of your music ;)

Jenelle - Thanks! And you seem to be right - Teresa has already mentioned singing, which I am awful at. It would have to be a silly song...

You should do a singing vlog of the "My Ears are Full of Tears" song!!! Yes! Do it! Please?

Rock Chef said...

Ali - Funny, that is the one that sprang to mind! I will have to find it...

Rock Chef said...

Found it!

I could totally sit and listen to you play that song all day! Absolutely.

Oh man, you have to do it! It would bring me SUCH joy!

And then you have to make me a copy of it and send it to me!

Um, I'm not being too demanding, am I? :)

Rock Chef said...

Jen - Really? Thanks! Hm, looks like I will have to work on it and post a full audio version...

Rock Chef said...

Ali - Of course, you do realise that this song is a country and western song and it might ruin my credibility. I might have to choose a new name! Suggestions welcome...

Ali said...

*gasp*

You would change the name of such a masterpiece?

Well, I never...

Rock Chef said...

Ali - I meant a new name for myself!

Ali said...

Oh, lol!

Hmm, I'm thinking :)

Dude!!!! freaking awesome! Loved everything about that post... saaaaweeeet! (that little amp does a pretty good job! - Gonna havta get me one of those!)

Wow! That's awesome man! I always wanted to learn how to play the guitar, but never really got around to it. Maybe I'll have to make the time after all. But yeah... great job!

Rock Chef said...

Ali - Oh dear...

Zig - Glad you liked it. If you do get one of these amps, make sure you get the stack rather than the smaller one that they also do.

Mike - You really should learn - even cheap guitars are really good these days. If you can master things like Guitar Hero, you can play guitar!
