We had decided that it was time for out pond to have some denizens, so headed to the pet shop for a couple of gold fish. We did not want anything too fancy or expensive, just pain old fashioned gold fish.
They were sold out.
So we did a bit of shopping and then stopped off at my mum's house on the way home.
She said that she was wondering if we wanted her last fish for our pond. Her pond is becoming over run with frogs, which have been stiring up the water and making it unpleasant for the other residents.
So our pond is now home for Lonesome George...
Have a great week!

Ah, so George is the first citizen of the kingdom. Hopefully he won't be too lonesome for long.
George is a very handsome fellow. I'm sure he'll love living in your pond. I've never had a pond, but used to have a large fish tank with assorted residents, led by the two biggest goldfish, Hector and Lysander.
Welcome, Lonesome George! I think he'd like a wife.
I imagine George will enjoy the peace from the frogs for a while, but then a friend would be nice, I'm sure. A wife, like Abby says, would be better. :)
George must be delighted with his adoptive home and it will be fun to see his new mates when you introduce them.
Sold out of goldfish? Are they in demand?
Lonesome George is a handsome fish. I'm sure he will appreciate some friends as soon as you can manage it.
I've always wanted a little water garden/pond. But it's all I can do to keep my flowers alive. Poor fish probably wouldn't stand a chance.
is that a goldfish or a carp?
carp is yummy :P
He's so cute!!
