This weekend was one of moderate slobbishness.
I spent some time finishing off (finally!) my Scottish spearmen for Macbeth's army:
They have been in the works for a while now.but I am pleased with the result.
At our games meeting last week, one of the players merrily opened the packet of a new figure that he had bought, to find that the arms needed to be glued on. Looking around, he asked (with a glance in my direction) if anyone was good with figures.
"I can do it. Do you want me to paint him while I am at it?.
This is the finished figure. The lighting is a bit too bright, but I think you can see him OK. This figure is a lot bigger than the others, probably just over an inch tall.
I used to paint lots of fantasy style figures like this, but it has been a while now. Hm, I still have that Elf army to finish off...

It is obvious that you enjoy your hobby tremendously. You did a great job with the repair for your friend, that was nice of you.
Nothing better than a slobbish weekend.
Your army looks ready for battle. Well done! And how nice of you to offer to fix your friend's figure. You did a great job!
WOW those ferocious little people certainly are little! You must have a very steady hand, I'd be sploshing the paint everywhere like I do in my art classes!
BTW regarding Jully Black, too bad you can't see that video in GB, perhaps google her on Youtube, she's worth it! I'm still vibrating from her concert!
CiCi - it is a great outlet - artistic, social and educational!
ShadowRun300 - The army is not ready yet - they still need their Viking friends who will be arriving at Christmas...
Shammickite - I found her - I can see that she would give a good show, real feel good stuff!
MacBeth's army is so colorful! I'm not sure how much I'd enjoy the games but I sure like the figures.
Woot! GO, MacBeth's army!
Terri - Thanks, I like to think that my armies are at least fairly pretty!
Riot Kitty - Hm, maybe I should add a figure representing you to my baggage train?
MacBeth's army looks like one to be reckoned with. And I like the big guy, cape a-waving!
Elf army? Surely not the cookie makers.
Very impressive. MacBeth's army never looked more formidable. You definitely have an eye for the details. Would love to see what work you have done with the elf army. I've always wondered how many figures/armies you have. You seemed to have amassed a pretty impressive hoard.
Abby - No, my elves are much more sinister, weaing mainly purple and gold.
Agg79 - I do have a fair number by now - many painted and organised into armies, a fair number still waiting to be painted. They probably number in the thousands...
