How much of the stuff you learned for exams do you remember?
My daugher thinks that exams are like this cleaning product:
BANG and the knowledge is gone...
I am currently doing something at work that is testing this theory - looks like she might be right. More when I have more info to share....
Meanwhile, I just ordered the Viking friends for my Scots....
And we are finally getting around to planning Christmas....
And I want Sharknado for Christmas too!

I'd like Viking friends...
I hope you get your Sharknado, I want your review!
I have a few kids who could easily prove her theory....
When Abby mentioned Sharknado, my first thought was how you'd probably like it. I don't even know what it's about, I just know you tend to love "stupid films". (to quote your kids.)
That is such a sexist ad!
I want your review, too.
Abby - Vikings are like bikers - make sure you have plenty of beer!
ShadowRun300 - Sharknado must have been made for people like me...
Riot Kitty - Our ads do tend to be bad like that. There is a new trend that plays on the idea that all siblings hate each other, but that this is cute and OK.
My first reaction was like Riot Kitty's! I take issue with the idea that only women in the UK do the cleaning. I'm sure there are men who would love to use that product too, LOL!
What we remember is fascinating to me. My sister and I were sharing childhood memories yesterday, some that seemed as if we should have been much too young to remember, but we did. But ask me what I had for breakfast yesterday and chances are I won't be able to tell you.
Glad you are planning Christmas! I should do the same. It's my turn to have the extended family over to celebrate and our numbers have outgrown what my house can comfortably accomodate. Not sure how we'll deal with it.
Terri - I am sure that there are some people who could be consigned to the decking outside...
I meant to mention the "ancient" comments of that ad too - how glaringly sexist!
And I wanted to mention that I agree that cramming for tests doesn't do much for retention of information, but by the time I'd gotten to the end of your post, I forgot I was going to say that and why.
I agree with your daughter. I don't know if I can blame my old age or just long time since school, but I don't remember much from school exams. Heck, I am just glad I can remember which card game I am playing and how to get home. Ha. I am interested in the results of your study though. Will be looking for that in a post soon.
Is that a real product? Obviously I have not been watching the ads closely enough.
Unknown - Hi, good to see you, whoever you are!
Shammickite - it is real over here, sadly...
That pitchman reminds me of a guy we had over here - Billy Mays. Used to sell the same stuff called KaBoom!
