A week from now...

Mrs RC and I will be waiting to board the plane that will take us on hour honeymoon.

We are just about set to go, things are starting to accumulate in the cases, the kids are being trained to do the various jobs that need doing and we are starting to wonder what the hell we have done!

Mrs RC keeps thinking that we are like those couples who go on holiday and leave a 10 year old behind.  This is rubbish, of course, but there is still that hint of guilt.  This is the first major thing we have done that has not involved the kids, it is not easy to adjust to.  Ah well, I am sure we will relax and enjoy ourselves when we get there.

It has been very hot here recently - it was so hot at work on Monday that I ended up visiting the doctor yesterday, just to make sure that the heat and dehydration had not done anytyhing nasty to me.  Seems to have been a good move, as I was given some antibiotics to stop anything nasty developing.  The last thing we needed was for me to be ill going into the honeymoon!  Yes, Mrs RC, you were right  :-)

Yesterday was much cooler and even rained, but today is warmer again, so I have moved into another room that has AC.....  Ahhhhhhh.......

Just a week to go? How exciting! I have a feeling the guilt will only last a little while... and once you're settled in Malta you'll relax and enjoy your time together. :)
Stay well and stay cool! Don't want anything getting in the way of your much needed honeymoon!

Ah, getting away together is such fun! My husband and I have got to do that on three occasions and loved being together and seeing the sights. Have fun!

Countdown! I'm looking forward to hearing all about your honeymoon adventure. Magnum and I have never had a true honeymoon or kidless getaway either since we became parents, but someday...
Stay cool!

Just one week to go? 'Bout time. I've been wondering when you two were headed off to the island. I imagine you are getting excited about the trip. Just remember to pack sunscreen and some good shoes for exploring Malta. I hope this honeymoon is a fabulous adventure for you two - you deserve it. And don't worry about the kids/mom. Everything will work itself out. Enjoy your time away together.

Just a few days to go and you will be smooching your Mrs and seeing the sights. Your kids have always sounded like the type to step up to the plate and do what is needed, they are responsible and hey, you and Mrs RC have done a good job teaching them. Enjoy your trip.

You were given antibiotics without having lost consciousness and gone into seizures at the doctor's office? Hey, I want YOUR physician!!

I'm so excited for the both of you - and good move getting medicine from the doctor NOW so you're not sick while you're on your Honeymoon!

From what you've written about your kids, they are highly capable and responsible. I'm sure they'll be just fine.

I'm glad to hear that Mrs. RC made you see the doctor and make sure you'll be in good shape for the trip. The last thing you need is to spend precious vacation days feeling sick.

I want to hear all about it when you get back. And also I want to hear what sort of trouble the kids caused while you were away. I hope the parties weren't too loud and there were no arrests......
