Hello, Buddies!

Despite the ongoing cold weather, including snow on Sunday, it looks as though Spring is actually on its way.  I hope it isn't long as our heating system has broken down - supposed to be fixed today, but who can tell?

I can't believe it is Wednesday already - the week is passing in a bit of a daze, as we totally burned our weekend moving Spot (my dad's dog) to his new home at my mum's.  Saturday saw me pretending to be Thor, using a huge hammer to bash stakes into the garden to fence off his area while Mrs RC set about fixing hand rails and wire mesh to the stakes.  It was hard work, but the result is really good, especially considering what a jungle my mum's garden is....

On Sunday we put in a flap so that Spot could go in and out.  He seemed to work it out when there were slices of chicken as a reward for going through, but seems to have been a bit dumb since then.  Maybe he is holding out for more chicken?

Not sure if I will have time for a post tomorrow, so I will wish you a great Valentine's Day for  tomorrow.

Just a few more weeks until spring. Good time to start working in the garden. I have never put in a doggie door like that, not sure they would get the concept. I think Spot figured it out but is definitely waiting for more chicken.

Agg79 - I think your hounds are a bit big for a doggie door anyway.

Sounds like you are doing OK, considering recent family events. I'm totally ready for spring!

Riot Kitty - Yes, doing OK, even if exhausted. Without going into details, it seems that the way things went was by far the best for everyone, especially my dad.

Spring is in the air! I've been noticing the days getting longer, but I haven't paid much attention to the buds.
Our dog's a bit big for a doggie door as well, but I'd LOVE it if she had one. She's constantly going in and out. Sometimes she'll go out one door and walk immediately to another door and bark to come in. Drives me crazy.
Happy Valentine's Day to you too! My Valentine will be in Tennessee - poor thing. ;)

ShadowRun300 - What is so bad about Tennessee? :-)

From your title, I thought maybe your bunnies had been up to some shenanigans again. I'm glad it's "other" signs of spring. And, nice productive work, Thor. I'm sure your mum appreciated it along with everything else you've been doing since your dad's passing.
Happy Valentines day to you too!

I'm jealous... you've got buds. It's snowing outside here as I type this, but the temps have been comfortable so I'm not complaining.

I'm sure Spot will work out the doggy door as soon as he gets bored or hungry enough.

Abby - There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY THE RABBITS WILL BE GETTING UP TO ANYTHING! Unless they work out how to do it through the wire, of course...

Terri - We had some more snow last night, although it didn't settle. Must be the snowiest winter I can remember.
