Well, didn't that week go fast! Amazing!
One of my readers seems to have detected a somewhat naughty undertone to my posts recently - I am sure she imagined it (cough cough), but I will do my best to keep things "decent" :-)
The kids go back to school next week, so Saturday will involve the last minute stuff that is always necessary - making sure they have all of the equipment that they need, pens, rulers, calculators, that sort of stuff.
Tomorrow is supposed to be really hot too, so we will be having a barbeque in the evening - looking forward to that, it is like a newly discovered hobby that everyone enjoys the results of. I am hoping that I can get hold of some nice pork that I can marinade, and maybe some more lamb chops. I did some lamb last weekend and it was amazing, so much better than when it is done in the oven. I will be doing home made bread rolls too, as they are so easy and taste so good. I am SO hungry right now!
I will also be moving my PC into the shed so that I can concentrate on doing some recording - using the computer to provide drums, I will be recording bass and guitar tracks. I won't be singing, though, that would be too much! When I get something presentable I will post it here for you to listen to.
Meanwhile, have a great weekend! I am off to get some lunch...

This is my last weekend before the fast starts. I hope it's going to be amazing.
Sid - I hope you have a good weekend. I know I would find fasting very hard going, I am not very nice when I am hungry!
Happy long weekend Rock Chef, and happy week for next week!
And yeah, clean things up around here would you? LOL! ;)
Hope your weekend is wonderful. I think I might stop by and join you for dinner because it sounds amazing!
And hey, don't let ME discourage you from including a little naughtiness. I thought it was rather fun!
Ali - Sorry, I know how easy it is to offend you...
Terri - Just pulling your leg, Terri! I think I censor myself pretty well, on the whole... I will set an extra place for you tomorrow - you had better show up! ;-)
Don't you just love the grill??
It is my most favorite way to cook... I grill all year round, it's my thing.
Have fun recording! That sounds like tons of fun.
Have a great weekend and good luck to the kids as they return to school:)
Kenady - I do love the grill now - I stayed away for years, having seen too many disasters masterminded by guys who never cooked all year and then, suddenly, thought they knew how to grill, serving up lumps of blackened meat that was still raw inside - Yuck! I am sure the kids will be fine, but I know that I will be itching to phone home to see if everything is OK.
I love grilling! Once you get it down, amazing meals can be conjured!
Hope your weekend goes well!
Silly question...do you celebrate labor Day over there or is that purely American????
This is Labor Day weekend, the time to say goodbye to summer, so I'll be mourning the packing up of all my white pants that I can't wear after Labor Day!!!
The BBQ does sound yummy, set a place for me too!!!
oooh, have you tried grilling pineapple? very yummy w/ grilled pork.
We like to grill here in the States...it can be snowing, w/ a couple feet on the ground and we'll fire up the grill
Cant wait to hear it !
x
Jen - you are right - my kids, who always like to tell it like it is, say I do the best barbecues they have had! Ooooh yeah!
tz - Haven't tried pineapple yet, but will do next time. Funny you should say about grilling in the snow - after our meal on saturday my wife was wondering how long we could string it out for, even contemplating Christmas Dinner done outside!
Sitting in Silence - Not long now!
The Rock Shed...I love it!!
looking forward to hearing your recordings.
i'd love the recipe for your bread rolls.
