Getting worse...

So, things are still ticking along in England.  Still haven't done my front cover, so I have not published the zombie book yet, but I am working on the next story, which I am really getting into.

Mrs RC and I have been getting a fair amount of lounging on the sofa time, absorbing series of Netflix stuff and trying to beat each other at Mariocart.  It is funny - when our daughter joins in, she is the best, followed by me, then Mrs RC.  When Mrs RC and I play head to head, she tends to win (although I have managed the occasional sneaky victory!)

On Netflix, we have been watching the first 4 seasons of Nurse Jackie, among other things.  When I saw it listed I judged it by what I thought was a pretty rubbish name.  It was going to be a dumb romcom about a nurse.  Right?  Oh, no, far from it!  A nurse with a pain killer addiction and a failing marriage who has sex with the hospital pharmacist to feed her addiction?  Wow, not expecting that!  And some of the characters in it are wonderful.  Just waiting for access to the next 3 seasons now!

Spring is well and truly here, but there is still a cold wind blowing that spoils things slightly.  In fact it is very deceptive, and once you get walking or cycling you soon heat up, which I found out the hard way yesterday morning when I got really over heated on my ride to work.  Had to make a pit stop and remove my hat (not helmet, that went back on) and gloves, and unzip my fleece!  I swear steam came out when I did that!

The fish are active again, including a new addition donated by one of our neighbours.  He is bright orange-red and is called, wait for it, Nemo!  He was in a tank that had got a bit too small for him, so he is now racing around like a mad thing, or resting underneath one of the plastic ducks that floats on the pond.  George (formerly Lonesome) and Toffeepenny seem to like their new friend too.

I have accumulated a few good photos recently, so I hope to spam you all with those in the near future!

Bye for now!

Mariocart, Netflix, and pond scum - all sounds good to me!
Nurse Jackie sounds fun, might have to tune in. We are currently addicted to "Breaking Bad", finally seeing what everyone was raving about. Ah, Netflix...

Abby - Oh, we did Breaking Bad last year. We are still missing it...

I have not watched Netflix in a while. Nurse Jackie sounds GOOD! I'll have to give that series a try. I'm anxiously awaiting the next season of Orange is the New Black. Mark is sad that he finished House of Cards. I could not keep watching Breaking Bad. It just gave me anxiety!

We're having a similar spring here. Summer-like days last week. Snow one day this week (which didn't last.) Today it was sunny, but windy and cold. I'm ready for the warmth to get here and stay.

You can lose a couple of days with those binge watching sessions on Netflix. I am still trying to finish up season 2 of House of Cards before tackling season 3. My next challenge will be GoT but I need to get caught up on my chores before I start that one.
