The smell of the outdoors...

Spent a couple of mornings this week out on walks with students.

One day was at the seaside.

The tiny harbour at Whitstable...

and the beach at my home town...

Yes, a shingle beach - who ever thought that was a good idea?

Then we went inland, to be greeted by this lot...

and these...

who left a present for me to slip over into...

But did I mind?  Not on a day like this!

Great photos again! I like how the horizon is totally gone from that first pic.
And, I guess we can be thankful those are herbivores?

You live in such a scenic place! I'm a little bit jealous. But I guess someone who doesn't live in my neck of the woods might think that the scenery is great here.

Sorry about the slip into the, um... eeewww! Glad to see you had rubber boots on at least!

Great shots. I've always felt a few hours outdoors is tonic for the soul. Way better than spending all day inside.

Sorry about your present. I was wondering if that was part of the "smells of outdoors" you were referring to.

I would TOTALLY have minded that. Guess I am not made for rural living.

My friend Dave was born in Whitstable (his dad was the undertaker) and my Auntie Lily was from Herne Bay. She always referred to herself as a "Kentish woman" even after living all her married life in North Devon.
Nice cow pat pic.

Sheesh. Not even hip hugger boots would have helped you out there...
But the pics are fantastic! Good for you for taking advantage of the beautiful day!

Abby - indeed - they did not try to eat us, and herbivor poop is a lot less smelly than carnivor poop!

Terri - England does have some very pretty places, but we are busy trying to build on most of it now :-(

Agg79 - yep, nothing like fresh air to brighten the day. Even if it is tainted with poop.

Riot Kitty - Wuss! :-)

Shammickite - Small world, isn't it? Do you have any people left in this area?

ShadowRun300 - You can protect against somethings, but not that really - unless I wore my waterproof trousers, but I hate those anyway!

I don't think I would have minded a little poo on my seat on a beautiful day like that either :)
