Just had a wonderfully creative evening, sitting at the kitchen table with Mrs RC. We were both working on our stories, occasionally fishing for suitable words.
I can see this becoming a regular thing this summer. Summer? Damn, I am really getting absorbed by my story, thinking it is now summer and not on the edge of a horrible winter!
This is where my character is right now...
Alone, armed with a poleaxe, wearing a dented WW2 German helmet and with 2 fingers missing due to being shot at by someone who thought he was a zombie.
OK, time to take the dogs for their evening stroll.
More soon!

JUST WAIT A DURN MINUTE!!! I HAVE JUST FIGURED THIS OUT!!!!
You're BOTH writing stories? How fun! And how much creative energy there must be in your house!
If you could imagine me some summer weather, I'd appreciate it. Our first snow was a challenging one. Couldn't be a nice, soft, fluffy, harmless snowfall, could it? Nope. Snow and freezing rain and 3 times as long as usual to get to work.
Sounds like a great way to spend a summer, I mean winter evening. Perhaps I need to take on writing a zombie novel too. Gotta do SOMETHING on these long, cold days.
Don't shoot off the fingers too soon. Make sure he has the ability to regrow them first!
When my book was published, werewolves and vampires were the rage. Now it's zombies. I wonder what will be next.
Furrybottoms - You have? What have you figured out?
Terri - Your zombie-fighting alter-ego is having great weather, if that helps. She does, of course, have a few other things to worry about...
ShadowRun300 - Give it a go! I am sure you could come up with a great story. Maybe you could have an outbreak when some of your "favourite" guests are in town!
Lotta Joy - Who can tell? Maybe we should create the next big thing ourselves!
I hope it wasn't the trigger finger....
oooops I guess you don't need a trigger finger if you are hefting a poleaxe....
Shammickite - one of the benefits of low tech weapons!
Ouch! Zombies are the root of all of our problems, I tell you...
Summer in Zombieland! Mmmm... I can imagine the aroma...
Zombies in summer? wont they rot much faster? and then dried up in the sun?
it must be hell for the nose.
