Camping (squelch)

Made it back from camping - not the sunniest or driest trip we have ever had (thanks Bertha) but it was still a great break.  One evening it was still raining when I had to cook, so I held an umbrella over the barbeque while my daughter held another one over the two of us.  Great fun!

Going to the heart of Kent, there is, of course, plenty of classic English countryside:

The rain also produced some nice rainbows...

Lots of time was spent in the big tent, drinking cider, playing games and just having funny conversations.  It is great to have time like this away from everything, where the temptation to check your emails is not there because it is just not physically possible!  Everyone should do this from time to time.

Going to settle on the sofa and watch a movie now...

What movie are you watching?

Glad that you were able to enjoy your trip in spite of the rain. You must have a good tent! And you definitely had some great scenery, at least while the sun was shining.

Rain can really change your plans. At least you were well prepared. Of course, staying cooped up in a tent with the entire clan (including the dogs) can get interesting.

BTW - love the new banner/title.

It is nice to "unplug" every now and then, even if Bertha or friends come to visit.

You're right! I need to do that. Not just unplug, but get away from everything. I'm always so jealous when I see Abby's and your adventures. It's time I set a date!

I thought squelch implied nooky? :)

Shammickite - we watched Enders Game. Much better that I thought it would be, expected a remake of The Last Starfighter, but it was much more gritty.

Terri - Yes, we have a great tent - bought after long consideration, but it is not as cute as the old tepee.

Agg79 - Things do get very entertaining when we are in the tent, lots of great conversations and laughter.

Abby - Yes, unplugging is great.

ShadowRun300 - I thought your equivalent of unplugging was jumping on the bike for a cruise?

Riot Kitty - HAHAHA! I am saying nothing!
