Holiday Snaps

We had just pitched the tents when this arrived.

Mixed in with this was the lightning strike that hit the nearby farmhouse.  A good test for the new tent, at least!  And of course I get to say that our holiday started with a BANG!  Sorry about that...

The RC family commune.

The dog buggy for when the dogs got tired.  Really payed for itself, I must say!

A bit of English humour...
(Some houses have plaques like this stating things like "John Lennon was born here", "William Shakespear lived here", etc).

Wonderful wildlife...

We don't need no steenking roads!

The puppies having a nice snooze after a long walk.

More to follow if anyone is interested!

I hope the lil' furkids recover and your encampment looks super. You might want to refresh your memory with a wee bit of my past, to better understand today's post:

Lotta Joy - Yes, the puppies are fine, a good snooze in the shade, some bits from the grill and all is good.

Other than the storm to start your trip off, it looks like paradise. Hooray for no steenkin' roads!
I'd love to see and hear more, so keep it comin'!

Looks heavenly! Other than the hell fire lightning of course...

Love the dogs snoozing while still in their leashes!

Nice setup. We haven't been camping since Gigi's surgery almost a year ago.

What a great set up! I especially love the tent compound you've got there. Can we assume one tent is for the kids and one is for the grownups?

Glad your tents held up in that monsoon. Nothing really puts a damper on your camping like getting drenched in your living quarters. I hope the rest of the trip was a bit drier. And nice to see your dogs are shade hounds like mine.

Wow! You've got quite the set-up there! Home away from home. That looks very comfy!

Love the photos - especially the butterfly and the "owner not yet famous" plaque!
