Catching up

I am catching up in a couple of ways.

Firstly, I have started revising for my exams next month - typing up lecture notes, filling in gaps, expanding here and there, reading a new journal article or book chapter each day - all good so far.

Secondly I have also caught up with the rest of the civilized world by transfering my CD collection onto PC.  Yes, I now know the joys of play lists, etc!  Mrs RC is loving it too - when I phoned at lunchtime she was playing music that she hadn't listened to for a long time purely because she could not be bothered to dig out the CD!  Click, on it comes!  We now have this PC in the kitchen/diner (the hub of our house) acting as a music centre/accountant (i.e. we use Excel on it to track our finances).

Oh well, better get back to it!

The rest of the civilized world has managed to transfer their CD collections to PC? I am NOT caught up. And in so many other ways than this too. Ugh.

You sound so very organized. Organization is just a dream for me!

I uploaded all of my CDs on my iPod Nano and I am listening to songs I have not heard in years. I haven't played a CD in over a year now. The nice part of the iPod is that my entire collection of CD along with some of my son's now fits on a tiny little iPod that I can carry in my pocket. Technology can be amazing. Of course, for every good part, you have to deal with the bad (like viruses & spam).

Ahhh, the joys of instant access to those much loved songs, eh? Good to hear you are on top of things with the studies - my eldest is revising for his up coming exams, too.

I got busy and transferred my voluminous and ever-growing CD collection to my PC ages ago...and hardly ever listen to it there. I don't know why, but I just don't. I mainly listen to music in my car when I'm driving.

Just another of my idiosyncrasies, I guess.
