The Joy of Autumn

Autumn has arrived in all its cool, colourful splendour.

The spiders are having one final attempt at world domination, before the cold drives them indoors for winter.

Fog and Sun battling for domination.

My mum is a big fan of vines and ivy, which are steadily covering the back of her house.  This Virginia Creaper goes a wonderful colour, don't you think?

There are still some flowers hanging on - some with, and some without denizens...

As you can see, I have been busy with the camera again.  This one has an amazing Macro setting - no, I mean, I have become really skilled at getting the focus just right...

Good job with the camera. I wish I could get some of your mom's Virginia Creepers. I moved here too late to do much this year, but in spring I will have to hire someone to dig the flower beds and help me get the soil ready to grow some beauties.

Those creepers are tenacious things - once you have one you will never get rid of it! The colour is wonderful, though.

I love the creeper! Remember you taught the camera all it knows. You are very good with it!

Betty - You are too kind...

Great shots! That spider web is great - like Peter Parker himself made it!
We just got a new camera. I'm hoping to have time to play with it a lot, your camera play blog posts are inspiring!

Autumn is my FAVORITE time of the year!

The camera may do all the focusing, but you have a great eye for what makes a good pic. Nice work!
We get some of the biggest spiders making huge webs by our house every fall. They're beautiful in a creepy sort of way.
Fall is such a great time of year. Why does it have to followed by winter?

Gorgeous photos! The web is amazing. So precise.

I used to romanticize autumn. It's about the only truly happy time in the four seasons. Now, it's all ONE SEASON in Florida, and I've grown accustomed to the monotony.

Abby - Yes, Spiderman lives in my garden!

Meleah Rebeccah - Thanks, that is nice from someone who also does a lot of photography.

ShadowRun300 - Well the weather has been getting srranger over the years, so who knows if Winter will follow this time around?

Riot Kitty - Webs always amaze me, especially the ones that stretch across a path - how do they do that?

Lotta Joy - don't you have a Stormy season in Florida?

Beautiful photos. I LOVE fall. And even though I'm not a big fan of spiders, that shot of the web is just amazing!

Love the change of seasons. Especially the colors. We're like Lotta Joy - only one season (almost summer, summer, late summer, cooler summer).
