Snowy Sunday!

The snow arrived while we slept...

This is our bird table with around 6 inches of snow on it  This was rapidly cleared and loaded with food for our little friends.

On the way to feed Humphrey the pony.  It was cold, but I had plenty of layers on and was, if anything, in danger of over-heating!

This is normally a very unremarkable place.  I love what snow does to a scene.

A bt more holly.  Place orders for Christmas cards in the comments section
:-)

Frou Frou loved the snow, except for the build up of snow in her front legs which had to be taken off a few times.

Custard does not feel the cold and just loves it.

My best photo of N.U.B. so far.  I have decided that Nub actually stands for New Unexpected Baby -N.U.B.  He is really cute, I am sure you will agree, and looks more like a toy than a real rabbit, IMO.  He has been playing in a patch of snow that got into his run - and eating loads, tending to sit in the food bowl while eating.  He also has a habit of standing on carrots while he eats them, presumably to stop them getting away!

Hope you enjoyed the photos!  More soon...

PS - when the girls got home from shopping yesterday, they were loaded down with stuff.

Me:  How much did you spend?
Mrs RC:  Don't ask.
Me  OK.

You got SNOW! And lots of it! Your pictures are beautiful. (Please put me in for one order of Christmas photos!) :-)

The "normally unremarkable" place is really beautiful. I don't know why but it feels like going back in time to me. Probably because it looks so undisturbed. What a pretty scene.

Custard looks quite happy to be out in the winter wonderland. Frou Frou not as much! And Nub is quite adorable. I'm glad he's enjoying the snow too. Sounds like his personality is really beginning to emerge.

We are all (humans and pups) SNOW jealous!!!
Lovely shots, and I agree- snow makes everything magical...we only have mud puddles thus far this winter, BUMMER!

I thought of you last week, as I was judging the county-wide school Spelling Bee, one of the joys of being retired, doing fun stuff like that... One of the words was "frou-frou"...
The dumbfounded speller asked for the word's origin, definition, and to be used in sentence, then spelled word correctly! :)

Enjoy your snowy Sunday!
Hugs and belly rubs,
~K

Beautiful wintry photos! I love all that "flocking" on the trees.

And now I see what you were referring to about NUB. He(?) really has a unique look with the dark eyes and ears!

Great shots! Amazing how a blanket of snow can change what would be a normally uninteresting landscape into some some sparkling scenes. Looks like both dogs were enjoying the snow. Looks like a good time to find a fire and some hot chocolate and stay inside where it is warm and cozy.

And nice shot of NUB. He/she looks like someone dipped his/her ears in an ink well.

Snow does change the scene. I really like the look of the snow. The pic of the holly is a particularly pretty one.

N.U.B. is such a cute bunny.

Yikes, looks like we've gotten off lightly compared to the mainland - brrrrr! What a gorgeous image that is of Frau Frau's front legs needing de-snowing to move (grin). Awww, N.U.B. (great name) looks like he's stepped fresh from the kitchen of Disney's Snow White, he is ADORABLE!
