My song for 2011

I have noticed that others have been choosing a song for the year.

I have thought long and hard about this and keep coming back to this one.

I have always liked this one and it just seems to fit.

Had a trip to the dentist yesterday morning.  I always hate this, but after sitting in the waiting room for half an hour listening to the powertools,  screams and pleading, and seeing the Paramedics arrive a few times I was even less enthusiastic.

However, the guy was very disappointed to say that all was well and had to console himself with a quick polish!  Hah!

We have noticed something really interesting about Frou Frou the puppy.  Wit Custard, and every other dog we have ever had, after a walk they have been tired and wanted to go to sleep.  Not with Frou Frou.  After a walk (and remember that she only has little legs!) she gets a massive burst of energy and zooms around the house for an hour or so before finally cuddling up and going to sleep.  I have never seen this before - maybe we should extend the walks?  I don't know, she seems to be happy with the amount of time that she is out and wants to get home!  Any thoughts from dog owners out there?

Going to the dentist isn't something to get down in the mouth over. (Sorry, I use that one on my wife all the time). Just be glad it was nothing more than a cleaning.

Unlike Custard, Frou Frou is still young. Once she gets wound up, it is hard to come down. You could extend the walks a bit longer, try some other outlet (tug of rope, ball, chew toy). As they get older she'll learn the routine. Some might tell you to try & channel that energy for some constructive training time. Teach her to sit, stay, but for now she's just a kid/puppy - full of life.

How sweet. I was singing along to the video. This is an awesome song to pick for the year.

what kind of dog is frou frou? i'm sure you've said before, but i can't remember.

we have a dog who LOVES the cold and snow. he pulls and pulls when we make that last turn towards home b/c he doesn't want his walk to end. as soon as he's inside he runs up and down the hall for a good 15 minutes before stopping dead in his tracks and then walking over to his bed to curl up and snooze. now in the summertime? he's pulling and pulling to get back home and lay in the a/c. :)

Agg79 - Custard was never like this when he was a puppy, but being a labrador he was never one to run around a lot!

TechnoBabe - Glad you approve!

Kate - Frou Frou is mostly Yorkshire Terrier, but we don't think she is pure. Her colours are right but her hair isn't growing as fast as we expected. Not that this is a problemm for us!

I'm not much for having a song of the year as very few songs or albums can hold me consistently for 12 months. (Last album to do so was Rammstein's Sehnsucht album.) But right now, I've got two songs gripping me tightly. Paul Carrack's Don't Shed a Tear and Scandal's I am the Warrior.

Yes, I know.

I love your song choice. I gave the idea some thought too, but just couldn't narrow it down. This one was in the running though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4ujS1er1r0

I have no helpful suggestions about Frou-Frou's behavior. Our dog was more like you've described Custard.
