Busy times

Still chipping away at the dissertation - 1 week to go! Have booked a couple of days holiday to finally put it to bed.

Waiting for the new guitar to arrive - any day now.  Can't wait!  I only realised the other day that I have wanted an 8 string bass for 33 years!  Better late than never!

Back again soon - can't focus on blogging at the moment, the fog of maps keeps getting in the way!

You're well into the home run now, bonny lad - I think a well earned holiday should definitely be on the books.

And an 8-string bass guitar!

What are the other 4 strings for?

33 years? Yes, it was time, not getting any younger are we? ;)

After a 33 year wait, I would think your guitar will be adored and appreciated that much more. I felt the same way about my Mustang. Once a few kids started driving and I didn't have to tote everyone around, I closed the deal. I still treasure it today!
I'm so happy you're about done with your dissertation! Congratulations in advance!

I bet you are on pins & needles waiting for the new toy to arrive. 33 years is a long time to wait. With the technology available today, shouldn't you be able track the shipment?

Shrinky - Thanks - 2 more days should sort things...

wigsf - the strings are in pairs like a 12 string guitar - a normal bass string and the corresponding lead guitar string, an octave higher. Oooh yeah...

Ms K - I guess not! Thanks for the reminder :-)

ShadowRun300 - Sounds like the Mustang is your 8-string bass!

Kenady - Hi, great to see you! Hope you are still having fun in Germany!

Agg79 - buying it through the local shop I can't track it - just waiting for the call to say they have got it...

Wow, 33 years. That's 4+ years per string!

A few more chips, and the dissertation is done. That must be a great feeling.

You're on the home stretch with the dissertation! Won't it feel good to have it done?
