Thanksgiving...

Had a departmental party last night - staff and students.

It was a great evening, with lots of prizes being given out as the evening progressed.

At one point in the evening the landlord handed out a load of free apple pie and cream - his way of acknowledging Thanksgiving.  Wonder if this is the start of something?

The ride home was fun, with a warm tail wind helping me get home.

Had trouble waking up this morning, though - think that last pint should have stayed in the barrel....

Have a great weekend!  I am now off hunting down students at the Graduation Ceremony, camera in hand.  Each year I make a poster of the photos I take - makes a nice addition to the wall displays.

    Is that the prim and proper way of saying the apple pie and cream gave you gas?

    Happy Thanksgiving RC! Sounds like a tradition could get started over there. I do agree with Wigsf about the warm tail wind, but that's probably all behind you now.

    I think it would be interesting to see some of posters you've done in the past as part of the display. Have a great weekend!

    Aye, 'tis the start of the party season, isn't it? Thanksgiving is a fine American tradition, but um, weren't they giving thanks for escaping us Brits?? (Nah, hang on, that's their 4th July?) Anyhoo's, I don't really want it to catch on over here..

    Hmmm... Thanksgiving across the pond. I suppose you could put a Brit spin on it as the-day-to-celebrate-how-the-rebels-nearly-starved-to-death. And I say a warm tail-wind is always a good thing, no matter how it comes about.

    Shrinky - You are right, it is a national thing and not something that we should really be taking on.

    Abby - Interesting idea - we should probably be thankful that we ended up as friends in the end!
