I just hit the Publish Button!

Should be listed on Kindle some time tomorrow.

It has been great fun.

On with the next book now!

Some random photos

This stuff is pretty, but it is the only thing that gives me any sort of allergic reaction  :-(

These are wonderfully pretty - almost makes up for the thorns that come with them!

Hm, I seem to be developing a "thing" for small white flowers...

My town is being surrounded with solar panels - acres of them!  Not the prettiest things going (I prefer wind turbines to be honest!) but at least it stops them putting houses there...

Oh, and I hope to have the book live in the next few days...

More soon, I promise...

Getting worse...

So, things are still ticking along in England.  Still haven't done my front cover, so I have not published the zombie book yet, but I am working on the next story, which I am really getting into.

Mrs RC and I have been getting a fair amount of lounging on the sofa time, absorbing series of Netflix stuff and trying to beat each other at Mariocart.  It is funny - when our daughter joins in, she is the best, followed by me, then Mrs RC.  When Mrs RC and I play head to head, she tends to win (although I have managed the occasional sneaky victory!)

On Netflix, we have been watching the first 4 seasons of Nurse Jackie, among other things.  When I saw it listed I judged it by what I thought was a pretty rubbish name.  It was going to be a dumb romcom about a nurse.  Right?  Oh, no, far from it!  A nurse with a pain killer addiction and a failing marriage who has sex with the hospital pharmacist to feed her addiction?  Wow, not expecting that!  And some of the characters in it are wonderful.  Just waiting for access to the next 3 seasons now!

Spring is well and truly here, but there is still a cold wind blowing that spoils things slightly.  In fact it is very deceptive, and once you get walking or cycling you soon heat up, which I found out the hard way yesterday morning when I got really over heated on my ride to work.  Had to make a pit stop and remove my hat (not helmet, that went back on) and gloves, and unzip my fleece!  I swear steam came out when I did that!

The fish are active again, including a new addition donated by one of our neighbours.  He is bright orange-red and is called, wait for it, Nemo!  He was in a tank that had got a bit too small for him, so he is now racing around like a mad thing, or resting underneath one of the plastic ducks that floats on the pond.  George (formerly Lonesome) and Toffeepenny seem to like their new friend too.

I have accumulated a few good photos recently, so I hope to spam you all with those in the near future!

Bye for now!

The Makeover...

Gaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Closer...

Well, tomorrow is the big day - Zombie Rock Chef gets his make-over!

Can't wait, it should be a blast.

It has been a while since I met up with the make up artist, but she must be one of our all time favourite students.  She was a single mother of three young children, yet somehow managed to get great results, despite having all that three young children bring with them to contend with too.  I remember her coming in one day, on the verge of quitting.  She had 2 assignments due and with all three kids sick she had not slept in days.  Poor girl!  But she got there and has gone on to do some great things.

Photos of me as a zombie coming soon!

Stuff....

So, things have been ticking along here - not an easy few weeks, but rolling into Easter at last!

Number One Son is back from Uni, just in time to celebrate turning 21!  What did he want as his main present?  A WiiU console.  So right now the kids are in the living room playing Mario and laughing so much we are worrying about the sofa getting peed on.  Wonderful!

The book is rumbling closer to release, all that remains is the cover, which will be sorted out in the next couple of weeks.  An old student of ours is now a professional make up artist.  She is amazing and does all sorts of work from weddings to zombies to full body painting.  Some of her "normal" work has appeared in Vogue!  Anyway, she is going to do me up as a zombie and take photos.  I will then Photoshop in a Maltese background to make the cover image.  Cool or what?

I am probably going to use one of these as the background, with a head and shoulders shot of me superimposed.  Votes and comments welcome.  I will, of course, post the final cover here when it is done.
